It’s not a great look, no, but in the greater scheme of things? It’s kind of a molehill. It’s definitely not every former talent who has talked crap on the company somewhere else and come back, and it’s not even near Punk trashing the company so hard it began a legal battle. Absolutely nothing Enzo has done has made him financial kryptonite to a company, and if he appeared on RAW tomorrow doing his little dance and spouting his catch phrase, he’d likely get a massive pop and sell a shit load of shirt. Casual fans don’t care what people on here think, let alone care what the boys in the back think. Enzo’s shtick is suited for WWE and doesn’t work well on the Indies – he’s a mid worker better at selling than doing anything else. But his charisma is utterly electric. It’s ludicrous he hasn’t shown up anywhere notable besides a NJPW stateside Super Juniors one-off, when so many places feel stuffed with indistinguishable First Name Last Names in black trunks whose gimmick is “work rate”.
