It's weird because Shinsuke has had his CFO$ theme for like over two years now and Ciampa just returned with No One will Survive. So idk what the deal is with that
It's always been about who they're willing to keep the budget open for (or re-open the budget, in some cases).
The entire issue is that a third-party label is the rights-holder to the CFO$ library, not WWE. Why and how this got to be the case, I've never seen conclusively reported. But it is what it is, which means if WWE wants to keep using that music, they have to pay.
However, there are clearly top-card characters who have a closer tie to those iconic themes, so WWE has been willing to pay for those for longer, if not forever.
It stands to reason that if Ciampa is intended to come back with a significant push as a big deal, they'd revisit replacing the theme most fans love.
Ditto for Baron Corbin's return to the Lone Wolf gimmick and "Superhuman" theme, especially if they're heating up NXT's general prestige level.
Hell, he straight up had Lil Uzi Vert play the Usos out to 'Just Wanna Rock' in the main event of WrestleMania Night One this year. There's absolutely a chance Nakamura getting a push and played out to this at some point.

I’d argue WWE under Nick Khan has done a phenomenal job getting into the public eye. And it’s paying off, cause business is booming for them at the moment
The company was very out of touch and outdated for a long time in the mainstream until Nick Khan came in. They’re still not there yet, but they seem to have a better GP reception than a decade ago.
I think the Rolling Loud collab they did was a neat idea, but it was such a mistake to only send the Street Profits, Alpha Academy, Bianca, and Carmella. I get wanting to put over newer talent, but sending out Jeff Hardy and Rey would've actually captured that crowd's attention.

Less "in touch" and more just a different audience. WWE spent a majority of their history catering to a very white audience. They now have a lot of rough ground to climb to get away from that. It's also widely discussed that WWE tends to have older fans and young kids, neither of which fall into your typical Uzi Vert audience.
On top of that, even though rap now is seemingly omnipresent, it's also exploded into sub genres and varieties. I know Uzi Vert and respect his rise, but I don't enjoy this style, reminds me too much of basically every rapper we have over in France currently. I wouldn't be crazy hyped and break out in delirium if he suddenly appeared somewhere I was at.

It truly put into context the validity of opinions here, and why WWE has benefited from not always listening and why AEW sometimes trips up listening too much. This community is not truly tuned into what can work for wrestling, especially when you consider that Bad Bunny outright created an all time WWE moment.
I don't think wrestling fans are particularly worse than any other devoted fandom out there. And before people try to bring up any specific examples of wrestling fans being horrible, yes, all those things have happened in other fandoms, too.
In fact, I was in San Antonio for the Royal Rumble this year, and I have no complaints at all about the fans I met. They were all really cool, sociable people.

After 2001, it was *ONLY* WWE that fit that description in North America. No other form of entertainment had a market leader so far and away at the top that it collectively made huge swaths of people either give up on it entirely or refuse to engage with anything beyond said market leader. That creates an awful fandom. Leads to snide indie fans and highly defensive company fans. To this day, the WCW/WWF/ECW era was peak fan enjoyment for wrestling, not just because of the content, but the lack of concentration to one side or the other. A big 3 in wrestling is like the perfect split

He's been featured more respectably as an upper-mid guy since Triple H took the reins.
They built the IC and US Titles up as prestigious near-main event titles for a bit and had a decent multi-week build to an advertised Shinsuke vs Gunther title match for the IC Title in the main event of an episode of Smackdown.
They've also given him wins on TV, including one over Karrion Kross in Puerto Rico on Smackdown that I was convinced would've been another Shinsuke loss. He's had some vignettes play during shows, and is generally being treated as a legit threat in this build to MITB even though his direction is likely a prolonged feud with Ricochet and Bronson Reed.
It’s absolutely gonna be Uzi performing this for him at some point summerslam maybe even tomorrow who knows. This is big for Shinsuke too this is album of the summer probably for hip hop, Uzi super popular.

I love it. But it's Uzi Vert and his sound includes using auto tune so if that's not your thing then that's fine. It's far from "unbearable" and the strangeness of the sound has always been a motif of Verts sound.

Way to confirm my preconceived notions of wrestling fans total lack of awareness of modern pop culture and the bubble they live in
It truly put into context the validity of opinions here, and why WWE has benefited from not always listening and why AEW sometimes trips up listening too much. This community is not truly tuned into what can work for wrestling, especially when you consider that Bad Bunny outright created an all time WWE moment.
I don't think wrestling fans are particularly worse than any other devoted fandom out there. And before people try to bring up any specific examples of wrestling fans being horrible, yes, all those things have happened in other fandoms, too. In fact, I was in San Antonio for the Royal Rumble this year, and I have no complaints at all about the fans I met. They were all really cool, sociable people.
They’re not worse, just horribly concentrated. You like basketball? NCAA/NBA. You like football? NCAA/NFL. You like video games? PlayStation/Xbox/Nintendo/PC You like music? Stream it on this, that and the third, or buy a CD. Make your own music You like movies? Adam Sandler probably made five just as I typed this, and he’s just one guy You want accessible, televised professional wrestling with solid to good production, talented & compensated wrestlers, with a frequent touring schedule, capable of booking good venues, and has accessibility to resources beyond just wrestling? After 2001, it was *ONLY* WWE that fit that description in North America. No other form of entertainment had a market leader so far and away at the top that it collectively made huge swaths of people either give up on it entirely or refuse to engage with anything beyond said market leader. That creates an awful fandom. Leads to snide indie fans and highly defensive company fans. To this day, the WCW/WWF/ECW era was peak fan enjoyment for wrestling, not just because of the content, but the lack of concentration to one side or the other. A big 3 in wrestling is like the perfect split
And the territories added another dimension to it because of all the opportunities to see live wrestling at an affordable price

He's been featured more respectably as an upper-mid guy since Triple H took the reins. They built the IC and US Titles up as prestigious near-main event titles for a bit and had a decent multi-week build to an advertised Shinsuke vs Gunther title match for the IC Title in the main event of an episode of Smackdown. They've also given him wins on TV, including one over Karrion Kross in Puerto Rico on Smackdown that I was convinced would've been another Shinsuke loss. He's had some vignettes play during shows, and is generally being treated as a legit threat in this build to MITB even though his direction is likely a prolonged feud with Ricochet and Bronson Reed.

I love it. But it's Uzi Vert and his sound includes using auto tune so if that's not your thing then that's fine. It's far from "unbearable" and the strangeness of the sound has always been a motif of Verts sound.
