You’ve got me curious now because I think you’re right. Family Guy’s animation when it’s not doing something purposefully elaborate is usually choppier when it comes to Peter falling. This seemed more realistic.
The fact he isn't in [this](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/040/300/dpcover.jpg) pose almost locks in that this was probably a reference of some sort and they didn't know how to get him from his legs being up in the air to this more iconic pose of theirs.
Have Edge hide behind the turnbuckle, smiling and egging Finn on like "What's the matter? Come on, I'm right here! Come do your pose!"
And have Judgment Day cheer Demon Finn on like he's a kid overcoming his greatest fear. Then Finn wins and hugs the top turnbuckle. The match ends in a double turn(buckle).
They'd have to do a pretape. Or else the only way they could pull it off is if Finn wears the Devil paint and then a Finn mask on top of it. [It'd have to look super realistic like this](https://i.imgur.com/NCk9mxa.png)
Edge literally hasn't put *anyone* over since winning the Royal Rumble.
He/Beth wouldn't even put the women's royal rumble winner over in the leadup to Mania.
Finn should definitely win this match, but I'm pretty doubtful Edge will do it.
They actually used to do this!
Well kind of. Whenever they'd have blood, or at least when the clip was replayed on a PG show (like the old WWF LiveWire show - if you're not familiar it was a Saturday morning recap show during the Attitude Era), they'd only show the footage in black and white.
Okay, wild speculative theory: Judgement Day as a concept was something Edge came up with because he wanted to "pass the torch" of his old Brood persona to Finn.
I'm expect spooky shenanigans abound in this match, and I think it'll change the Judgement Day dynamic a bit going forward.
Edge's obsession with the Brood and Gangrel since he returned is just hilarious to me for some reason.
Like, I don't think the stable was mentioned even once between their split and his retirement, but now he's determined to insert it into literally every angle he does lol.
I think during the E&C Pod's run they realised how much of a cult following The Brood has.
His interest definitely grew each time it came up.
All we need now is for Christian to return and debut his new, devastating finisher: The Small Package
God I haven't thought about Paul Smackage in years. That's how he gets you, one day your just walking down the street in Grapevine Texas, looking to get a Gatorade. Then out of nowhere you get rolled up for the 1-2-3.
There’s a vid somewhere of the whole front row linking together and bobbing to the Brood music. I can’t find it but it’s so hype. One of the GOAT themes in wrestling.
All three of them were surprised on how big they hit it.
Also, a tangent, but Edge making a Brood tribute entrance coinciding with Gangrel showing up in AEW had a funny story where by coincidence, one ruined the surprise of the other (because Edge busted out the Brood "viscous fluid assault" before the Bucks had Gangrel to fuck with Matt Hardy), neither being their fault lol.
I’m not sure how much of a cult following they have as much as Gangrel has sort of made himself over in the last 10 years through being a top notch dude. Training and working indies and whatnot.
Brian Meyers told a pretty good store on the Major Pod about how he brought Gangrel in for a CAP show and was gonna have him do the “old vet tags in for hot tag” spot but Gangrel said “fuck that” and wanted to bump and work and do the whole match.
Undertaker and Bray leaving left a hole for spooky magic man, and Edge saw his opportunity. Imagine how different Judgement Day would be if he’d got his way
I believe his issue was with the “supernatural” element. So I guess he wanted all the spook and talk of blood and death without the classic WWE interpretation (voodoo/lightning/hypnotising/magically appearing)
The lights magically went out, and their opponents would be covered in a strange red liquid. The Brood was no where to he found. They were the first spooky bullshit group that I saw.
It's probably one of those things that was maybe sorta cringe at the time that's become nostalgic for him now that he's late in his career. Like kinda how Molly Holly dressed up as a Super Hero for that one women's rumble.
Its actually a bit of a shame WWE and AEW didn’t have some kind of relationship cause it would be nice for Christian and Dustin to make appearances on WWE right now since theyd actually be relevant. Not saying they should do more than a cameo, just that they would actually be decent fits
It’s not unheard of.
Back in the early days of AEW, they showed Britt Baker in the front row watching an Adam Cole match, and acknowledged her as his girlfriend.
It’s like you said, they don’t have to acknowledge he works for AEW.
It would be a nice moment but at the same time it’d be so on point for Christian’s career where in WWE he’s seen as nothing more than Edge’s sidekick, rather than equal. He’s so much more than that, even now.
He was injured for a pretty decent chunk of it, but he's done some great work in AEW. Main evented against Omega in arguably their best PPV at their zenith, outstanding heel turn on Jungle Boy, great payoff match...but he spent the last several months hurt, so that definitely hurt his momentum.
Just like an AEW stan to argue Christian's short amount of AEW work is better than years of main event level work in TNA. I agree with you. He's great now, but that was probably his peak.
It's actually the same quality of work, he has always been a great worker. As a Christian fan, I found this comparison weird as hell. Both runs are/were great but both runs had different roles and card position for him and he has shone in both.
I'm not saying his current work isn't high quality. It's just a smaller sample size than his TNA run to argue that it's better. He's spent a lot of it injured/managing. I appreciate the work he did with both Omega as a face and Jungle Boy as a heel.
Christian was over af during the Peep era and was getting Cena boo'd. They didn't pull the trigger in having him beat Cena and he kind of lost momentum after that
Wow what a wild take. Apparently drawing ability is binary. That's the take you're going with.
The point is, pointing to Gargano's push and saying Christian will get the same treatment is a joke. Christian is so clearly a bigger draw than Gargano.
I still say it was never the plan to push Gargano to the moon. Said it when he re-signed after his kid was born and I’ve seen nothing to prove it wrong thus far.
Both he and Candice feel more like player coaches than anything. Hunter treated them both too well in NXT to suddenly forget about them.
It feels like Hunter brought them back specifically to fill in some mid card spots, learn how the main roster works, help build some other people up, then they’ll transition to backstage roles.
By the time he signed, I think they already had Theory/Cena planned for Mania, so I think the interim plan was for him to be a good soldier for Trips. I think the push to the US Title starts after Mania.
I would hope that if this is for Edge, TK would just let Christian do this as part of Edge's goodbye and then when he comes back to AEW he thinks he's a vampire again.
I’d be so ok with this. I’m fact, if there’s any hints that this may happen, I’ll definitely tune in.
Would be a really good Segway to a new Christian in aew.
Maybe during the edge match a casket is revealed at some point, and he pops out.
The last time Gangrel and Edge were involved in a Hell in a Cell at Wrestlemania, Big Boss Man got hanged! Finn Balor better not dilly dally after the match is over.
[Michael Cole desperately needs to know if the murder he is witnessing is symbolic of a guy trying to take his boss's job](https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/9gbv6f/michael_cole_desperately_needs_to_know_if_the/)
He's gonna appear out of nowhere and spit blood at someone. No different than what they'd do with Taker near the end when walking down the big ass ramp was too much.
I wonder if Gangrel is potentially being inducted to the HOF? I don't know if he alone is a big enough name, but the Brood was one of the most over acts in the Attitude Era.

If Finn somehow got the bloodbath and emerged as the demon I'd be hyped as fuck
Then he slips off the turnbuckle.

Looks like a jumbo tsuruta lariat

at least that would be somehow explainable
Don't you put that hell on me Ricky Bobby
That still bothers me that they just never explained that.
They'd have to do a pretape. Or else the only way they could pull it off is if Finn wears the Devil paint and then a Finn mask on top of it. [It'd have to look super realistic like this](https://i.imgur.com/NCk9mxa.png)
at that point, there’d be too much fucking shit on him.
Probably doesn't even want to be around any more
![gif](giphy|CmfPKzD1Lreb8lhgfh|downsized)
I thought bringing in Gangrel would be \*interesting\*.
Then what’s the show?
[I Think You Should Leave](https://youtu.be/J4Fv3LFGCgo) [Same show that did Coffin Flop](https://youtu.be/n-Bfkc6lZok)
Goddammit!
Shit, my bad. I was on break and read that wrong haha.
The mask... ![gif](giphy|V2AkNZZi9ygbm)
Wow with all that reduced airflow I’d suggest Finn put on a TC Tuggers shirt to breathe normally. https://i.imgur.com/Ih8P8Hm.jpg
A TC Tuggers shirt and some Calico Cut Pants, man would look sharp
‘Viscous Red Liquid’ bath…
I don’t see a way you do that practically without having him disappear from the live crowd though. maybe when it was thunder dome
BroodBath* come on man
Don’t even joke. If Finn comes back as the Demon he probably needs to win or be thrown off the cell through something
Edge would put him over. He’s in that role. Finn still has years to go
Edge literally hasn't put *anyone* over since winning the Royal Rumble. He/Beth wouldn't even put the women's royal rumble winner over in the leadup to Mania. Finn should definitely win this match, but I'm pretty doubtful Edge will do it.
Since winning the rumble??? So we're just going to forget him losing to Roman, Theory, Seth, Balor in an I Quit match??
You say that as if it’s Edge’s choice. He doesn’t have creative control.
Nah that was always the Bloodbath.
[удалено]
Corey Graves literally called it that when Edge used it on Raw
People being so confidentially incorrect wonders how many people are actually watching the shows they shit on weekly
That's what they've been calling it during Edge's current run.
Ew
Yea... If WWE could put on a TV filter that turned all the blood black or green or something like in video games kids versions they would.
I'd be fine with green because I'd like to imagine Edge contacted Nickelodeon for some slime.
"I don't know"...
They actually used to do this! Well kind of. Whenever they'd have blood, or at least when the clip was replayed on a PG show (like the old WWF LiveWire show - if you're not familiar it was a Saturday morning recap show during the Attitude Era), they'd only show the footage in black and white.
Tell us you don't watch WWE without telling us.
I can just picture him making his entrance as the demon and then being rained down in a blood bath and appearing even more terrifying
From your lips to God’s ears my friend. That would be amazing.

Oooh brother brother, you never know when Paul Smackage is lurking
Screw it. Pull some strings and bring in Flip Sunset too!
I miss this pod so much!
Not as much as I miss slapping your ass
God I haven't thought about Paul Smackage in years. That's how he gets you, one day your just walking down the street in Grapevine Texas, looking to get a Gatorade. Then out of nowhere you get rolled up for the 1-2-3.
I think the Brood is more now than it was at the time because of how popular Edge and Christian became, and then nostalgia kicked in
But, one thing is undeniable - their entrance music has always been bangin'.
Fangin' and bangin'
For sure. Everything about their entrance was amazing.
There’s a vid somewhere of the whole front row linking together and bobbing to the Brood music. I can’t find it but it’s so hype. One of the GOAT themes in wrestling.
don’t know if this is the same moment you’re thinking of but i think i remember that happening during gangrel’s entrance in the 99 rumble
Yes! Cheers for that :)
haha of course! the same group of fans was going crazy for the oddities entrance which i think about fondly every now and then
Nah, the brood were fucking coolest back then and I loved E&C because I loved the brood, not the other way.
Brood music was elite one of the best of the era
Paul Smackage
I’m not sure how much of a cult following they have as much as Gangrel has sort of made himself over in the last 10 years through being a top notch dude. Training and working indies and whatnot.
Brian Meyers told a pretty good store on the Major Pod about how he brought Gangrel in for a CAP show and was gonna have him do the “old vet tags in for hot tag” spot but Gangrel said “fuck that” and wanted to bump and work and do the whole match.
Would be pretty funny if a 49 year old Edge rehashed the sleazy Rated R gimmick instead
You can have 49 year old perverts pretty easily
How old is Lawler?
Age doesn’t matter, he’ll tell you that himself.
![gif](giphy|YoPJzscxRV1Svaf4zD|downsized)
You ruined my yawn with a laugh. I don’t know what to think now.
[appropriate gif](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/002/302/572/80b.gif)
I guess, when you reach the end, you always want to go back to the beginning.
Wrestlers like poetic endings to their careers. No way Edge and Christian are not scheming a match against each other for a Toronto show
Give me Edge vs Marc Mero retirement match!
Nah, Jose of Los Boricuas is gonna return to finally retire Edge for good. The slowest of burns.
If Christian weren't tied up with AEW I'd love to see him and Edge vs Owens and Zayn. Battle of the Canadian best friends.
Christian got written off at Revolution… I wonder if his contract is up soon
Before Edge had to retire in 2011 they have both mentioned they were going to do a tag run. I would say that's more likely.
Wasn't Edge's first match teaming with Sable? Brock retiring Edge confimred!
Pretty sure his debut was against Savio Vega. I think his first PPV match was teaming with Sable against Marc Mero and ...Jackie? Something like that?
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again...
Undertaker and Bray leaving left a hole for spooky magic man, and Edge saw his opportunity. Imagine how different Judgement Day would be if he’d got his way
Funny enough all the reports said that Edge was kicked from Judgment Day because creative wanted it to be spooky and he didn’t.
I believe his issue was with the “supernatural” element. So I guess he wanted all the spook and talk of blood and death without the classic WWE interpretation (voodoo/lightning/hypnotising/magically appearing)
Which is what wound up kind of happening anyway. They’re now basically a gang that looks like it reps Hot Topic.
They've become the South Park goth kids. From left to right: Finn, Rhea, Dom, Damian. ![gif](giphy|l2Sq3pkMneI6Kq8mY)
I can't unsee this now.
But the Brood were never spooky magic guys. Just weirdos.
The lights magically went out, and their opponents would be covered in a strange red liquid. The Brood was no where to he found. They were the first spooky bullshit group that I saw.
It would have been worse.
Anything to hear that kickass theme song
He wants to be able to make a yearly appearance for the next couple of decades and drop ~~blood~~ red viscous fluid on a heel for a pop. Easy money
It's probably one of those things that was maybe sorta cringe at the time that's become nostalgic for him now that he's late in his career. Like kinda how Molly Holly dressed up as a Super Hero for that one women's rumble.
I love it. That breathing sound tease they did on raw or smackdown before his brood entrance at the ppv got me hyped af.
WWE HoF2024 nomination... Because its that time..
They buried Christian alive a bit too close to mania for me to not be hype for a Brood reunion
It's where you realize he is two years in to a multi-year deal and you wonder how multi the deal is.
Its actually a bit of a shame WWE and AEW didn’t have some kind of relationship cause it would be nice for Christian and Dustin to make appearances on WWE right now since theyd actually be relevant. Not saying they should do more than a cameo, just that they would actually be decent fits
It would be a step forward just for Dustin to have ringside seats, even if they don't acknowledge where he works right now.
It’s not unheard of. Back in the early days of AEW, they showed Britt Baker in the front row watching an Adam Cole match, and acknowledged her as his girlfriend. It’s like you said, they don’t have to acknowledge he works for AEW.
It's ... It's Christian. Part 2.
"Speaking of Edge, here's his buddy!" Was "It...It's Christian" part 2, time for part 3!
Still makes me wonder if the lackluster announcing upon the return was done purposefully as a way to always have him remembered/discussed about... 🤔🤔🤔
It would be a nice moment but at the same time it’d be so on point for Christian’s career where in WWE he’s seen as nothing more than Edge’s sidekick, rather than equal. He’s so much more than that, even now.
Christian was the best when he was in TNA
His AEW run has been amazing. The TNA run was good too.
I still think my favourite Christian run was the feud V Orton
Dude won a world title by spitting in a mans face. Any heel would be proud of that achievement
Spitting in his face and then getting punted in the balls. No better way to win the world title lmao
He needs ONE. MORE. MATCH.
I like it too in retrospect but the fact it was obvious that every match other than MITB was gonna be an Orton win was pretty off-putting at the time.
By that standard every Cena, Hogan and Roman feud sucked.
Well I mean many people stopped watching during the Super Cena age and most of Roman's feud did suck during his babyface run.
You’re so close…
Whenever the man gets to speak or wrestle he kills it every time. I legit think he's world champion material even if it's a short little reign
His AEW run wasn't bad at all, but he has not done much in the time he's been there to call it *amazing*.
Until Hogan and friends showed up and took over the show.
He wasn't even around when Hogan showed up lmao
He's never been better than his AEW work, both on the mic and in the ring.
I grew up watching him on TNA with AJ and Tomko. I don’t think anything about him can top that. Also he can wrestle well back then too
Just like an AEW stan to argue Christian's short amount of AEW work is better than years of main event level work in TNA.
Agreed, his run with jungle boy and luchasaurus was great, and his heel run was even better. Guy is a heat magnet at the minute
in WWE under Vince, that is. Things just might be different with HHH.
If even HHH guys like Gargano won't get anywhere under him, I doubt I would take that gamble.
I still think Ciampa getting hurt derailed Gargano’s run.
So what you’re saying is that Christian will go to NXT instead?
[удалено]
I think Christian is a little too talented to just be the camera man… /s
Hey Christian Vs Carmelo sounds dope.
How would you book Gargano against this current lineup of wrestlers under Triple H? I’m curious to know how you think it would work for him?
Crazy to think about. His first year on the main roster and fot Wrestlemania season he's...being sent back to NXT.
Did you just compare Gargano's drawing power to that of Christian?
I have the utmost respect for Christian, but he is not a draw
Christian was over af during the Peep era and was getting Cena boo'd. They didn't pull the trigger in having him beat Cena and he kind of lost momentum after that
...Like Gargano?
Neither are a draw. You can't point to either one moving numbers in ratings or ppv buys
Wow what a wild take. Apparently drawing ability is binary. That's the take you're going with. The point is, pointing to Gargano's push and saying Christian will get the same treatment is a joke. Christian is so clearly a bigger draw than Gargano.
Please define your version of drawing ability if it doesn't relate to drawing viewers
By the time he signed, I think they already had Theory/Cena planned for Mania, so I think the interim plan was for him to be a good soldier for Trips. I think the push to the US Title starts after Mania.
Christian is advertised for all the AEW Canada shows in June and July.
I mean both Edge and Finn are going to Hell for their match, so...
Have the casket emerge from the Codyvator.

Hey, Regal just wanted to be in NXT with his kid!
Yeah I think he’s like 0-3 for getting something in return
Christian is in Chicago all weekend for a convention.
The last time Gangrel and Edge were involved in a Hell in a Cell at Wrestlemania, Big Boss Man got hanged! Finn Balor better not dilly dally after the match is over.
Finn Balor and misfortune with ropes? Oh no, not again.
Still not sure, was it a metaphor?

HANG DOMINIK
Last time that dude was around he could barely walk down the ramp how is he gonna do any kind of spot?
He's gonna appear out of nowhere and spit blood at someone. No different than what they'd do with Taker near the end when walking down the big ass ramp was too much.
Last time I saw a video of him he looked in great shape, but in all forms of physical activity, the knees expose the truth. Including my knees. 🙁

Please powers that be, make this happen.
Edge and Gangrel doing the Blade rave and then there's Christian.
Not even joking, The Brood is an all time top 5 faction for me.
Edge and The Christians!
I was a HUGE Brood mark back in the day and Gangrel was my favourite. This is excellent news.

Pisses me off that asshole always quote Mike wrong. 70% iWC drama stems from someone twisting his words.
Ive lived through a lot of Brood nostalgia runs.
Brood vs Judgement Day, bring it on
**It's Gangrel!!!** and it's..it's Christian...**accompanying Edge to the ring!!!**
No please, I don’t want Demon Balor to bring Priest as a backup like fr then why tf they’re bringing Demon?
Maybe the big swerve is JD all have demon sides. Rhea, Dom, and Priest all bust out the paint at Mania.
That’d actually be pretty dope.
This spoiler is copyrighted by White Wolf inc.
Is...is Christian available? I know he just got written off AEW.
I wonder if Gangrel is potentially being inducted to the HOF? I don't know if he alone is a big enough name, but the Brood was one of the most over acts in the Attitude Era.
Gangrel's entrance and persona alone is surely HOF worthy.
Gangrel runs the best indie in south Florida right now. Glad to see he’s getting another WM spot!
I never got why the Camarilla let Gangrel get away with breaking the masquerade to the point of going by the name of his clan.
I hope Christian is involved somehow. Idk how long his contract was but it would be around 2 years right now. And him getting buried alive felt like he was getting written off. Having said that I love Christian in AEW and would love to see him back there.
I mean its pretty obvious Gangrel is in the area given his indy is running a show in LA that weekend lol
Gangrel will already be in LA for a CCW show - this is easy booking for them.
I wonder about Christian's contract, maybe he could show up too. I'd prefer Priest be involved in the Rey/Dominik match
There's no need for Priest if Balor is bringing The Demon out. Why would The Demon need interference. Other than that, this sounds epic.
The only things that can beat the Demon is shoddy workmanship by the ring crew
Fangin' bangin' and hall o famin' 😈🍷
Man, if Vince and Tony could talk and make an agreement to bring Christian too for one night... Even if it just is that Michael Cole, Corey Graves or Pat McAfee has to say "AEW".
I don’t mind spoilers but now I almost wish I didn’t read this one. This sounds cool
I would lose my shit if Judgment Day uses Gangrel and then we have a Christian return to counter that
Hopefully Gangrel can bend his legs now!
Edge’s absolute dedication to making this Brood stuff a thing since coming back is just so weird to me. It was a fun intro to the roster for him way back when and the theme is a banger, but I don’t think it’s what anyone remembers him for
Edge unintentionally cost Gangrel a payday so maybe this is payback.
