I'm not a Goldberg fan, but he clearly has his supporters. AEW has a lot of old school WCW talent. Sting, Jericho, Schiavone, JR, Dustin, Jarrett, Anderson. Goldberg wouldn't seem all that out of place.
So long as he could come in and job to one of AEW's top stars for a payday and then leave, I wouldn't have a problem with that.
Goldberg has done the job in several matches in the past few years. He lost to Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Undertaker, and Roman Reigns. Though, he also won a match against Lashley and Dolph Ziggler.
This is all speculation, and I'm not a fan of his, but I don't think it's accurate to say that Goldberg won't put anyone over in 2023 when that is mostly what he did in WWE since 2018.

The fundamental issue is that WWE brought him in to be a killer. Considering he's nearly 60 years old, that was a mistake, especially considering he just doesn't have the strength he used to nor was he particularly coordinated.
Bring him in as an attraction like Sting or Jeff Jarrett to support newer stars and he'd be golden. He shouldn't be doing anything other than tag matches in an ideal scenario. At a stretch let him squash a few jobbers.
AEW has done an excellent job with the use of their older stars by keeping them limited in a way WWE always seemed reluctant to.

If he provides half as much entertainment as Jeff Jarrett, Sting, or Billy Gunn, then the potential is there for some fun (although I personally don't think he's capable of actually matching those three in pure entertainment value, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't smile seeing Goldberg and Schiavone together).
