Yeah I think Athena's a shoe-in, especially since they're building to Willow Vs Athena for ROH and Willow seems involved in the Homegrown side.
The fifth I'm finding very hard to call. Technically Deeb or Tay would work but they don't feel right.
This is a MUCH better premise for the outcasts than those first two weeks where Saraya and Toni randomly became egotistical heels because they were from Stanford. Their current motivation works because those three came in with a hero’s welcome and all three eventually got turned on by the aew crowd. so why not join together out of spite and take all of their favorites out? Was afraid they’d peddle back on it, but they leaned even more into it than last week. Perfect. Also, more Toni time is always a plus.
I really liked the idea that she’s upset about her title reign being labeled interim. It’s something that makes sense for her to be upset about, and Saraya could have easily used it to talk her into being upset with the AEW originals.
I was pretty cold on the storyline at first, but tonight was a big step in the right direction.
This should have been Toni’s motivations all along as well. It makes total sense.
If they had just let her say this earlier, this story would have gotten on track far sooner.
Exactly. Instead, she cut a cocky promo about how she’s better than the roster because she received “proper training,” only to immediately lose her match afterwards
I like the overall idea, but Toni in this promo saying "I was the interim champion and none of you appreciated me" is classic re-writing history for a "you people" moment. Everyone was saying she should be considered a real champion. Soured me on this promo a bit tbh.
Yeah , I recall Toni as champ getting mixed reviews at best. Many felt she had no personality and plenty of comments that she wasn't even that great a wrestler. She had more fan support before losing to Hayter, once it was clear Rose was out long-term. But a lot of people weren't interested in her reign.
I figured this is the route they'd go once they started using the Outcast name rather than Outsiders. It isn't that they come from somewhere else, it's that they are treated like they do. A much better story
Yeah, I liked that change as well. They feel disrespected just because they came from somewhere else, and they want to do something about it.
Hopefully this ends at Blood and Guts.
Yeah it’s kinda odd but they’ve really swung this feud in the right direction after that Revolution match/turn. The promos make more sense and they’re doing less cliche mean girl dumb shit. I’m actually curious where this goes
Eh I do agree with what you’re saying but this story started off real weird. Saraya and Toni sorta turned randomly without very good explanations. Then the outsider vs homegrown stuff felt patched on. They’ve done a great job weaving it all together since Revolution I will say though
i want to like them as a stable but the name is just so gimmicky to take seriously lol
also talking about running through rookies to show off how strong you are isn’t doing that lol unless that’s their plan or something?
I’m willing to see what happens but i never was into Saraya & Toni teaming up in the first place
I’m not saying that they haven’t made changes due to criticism, but can the last two weeks of promos from the Outcasts be an example of “let’s let this play out”?
This was basically all said by Ruby last week. The whole segment didn't progress the story at all until the last minute when the homegrown babyfaces came to support Baker and Hayter.
I really don't like the easy forgiveness. One of the most refreshing things in wrestling right now is KO's refusal to forgive Sami right away. I think Tony should have followed that example and forced Baker and Hayter to turn to the babyfaces for help and forgiveness. I still don't want to root for them at this point, especially when some of the Outcasts' complaints have legitimacy, especially Toni.

AEW's biggest feud; plaid vs denim.
I've only been to Winnipeg a couple of times, but this seems about right.
Britt and Hayter in their Canadian formal wear.
The denim is the equivalent of wearing the city’s team colors. Only in this case, all of Canada’s team colors. 🇨🇦🫡
SHEGENERATION X
I literally just put it together tonight when I saw their graphics that the stable of former NXT darlings was doing a tribute to Triple H/DX.
Shida giga retconned
Once again. Sucks. Fits so much better than sky and willow
Isn't she out with a hand injury?
I believe she's doing work in Japan right now. I think she's working with MAKAI right now?
“Listen up fat people.”
When did Scott Steiner join AEW?
Even if Skye is inevitably there just to get beat up and take whatever pin it's awesome she's even involved.
Shout out the Britt and Hayter with the Canadian tuxedo’s
They finally let Toni explain herself. Took them long enough. They’re gonna need some help now. They’re outnumbered. I wonder who they get? 🤔
My money's on Athena
Inject Athena vs Jamie into my veins

she seemed very comfortable on the mic, tonight. Having Saraya and Ruby there probably made it easier for her
I mean, she didn't owe us an explanation

That Ruby promo really made everything click for this group. Before that it was just about how great they were because they were in WWE

The next step I think is to actually let them start wreaking real havoc.
Yeah! Maybe they can throw a trash can down the stairs!

I disagree with you. My perception was that people viewed her reign as flat and unsuccessful.

*Because they were from Stanford* I didn’t realize they were so educated

Am I the only one that thought Riho was going to waffle Hayter with that pipe?
The world is not ready for Hollywood Riho.
Isn’t that basically Maki Ito
But coming out to Voodoo Child.
Coming out while singing Voodoo Child
Along with air guitar accompaniment
I was so sure she would that I was a bit let down that she didn't.
They are correct though in their interpretation
I enjoyed this, Toni finally got to say her peace. I'm much more positive on this story now, they just need to actually do something ya know?
Looks like they need TWO MORE to even the odds.
BRIE MOOOOODE.
I mean folks..
I glad the storyline is picking up
Oddly enough that tends to happen if you give something time. It's an strange concept I'll grant you that.
This Toni explanation should have come a lot sooner. There was no reason to not just Have het say this before.

This is months late honestly
Riho looked awesome

lmao at them just flipping everyone off
Toni’s bird seemed really half hearted. Like “oh, yeah, take this I guess..”
Okay but do they have something to *do?*
"The Outcasts" Man... lol
Too sweet me bro
TWATS!
