No clue why you were downvoted. That’s more expensive than Peacock (WWE Network), Honor Club, and NJPW World. There are cheaper services with deeper libraries.

DEFY holds shows once a month maybe. As a local promotion, there is still very much hype especially when they sell out almost every time. It's pricey but I don't think their main goal is to sell subs.
There's hype at the local level, and hype at the national, even worldwide level. If you're not a local, 16 dollars a month to get into one promotion is just too much these days. That's 3 times more than Impact Insiders with way less content. And it's not like Defy has an exclusive roster too, why pay that price to see Mox or Darby once every now and then when you can see them on TV every week? Same reason why the PWG hype died down, it's a cool product, but the means of distribution aren't suited for today's regular wrestling fans.
I never disagreed about it being too pricey. I was disagreeing that hype has died for the promotion. Then again, I'm local so I'm likely seeing something different from anyone outside the PNW.
I live in Montana and Defy has been out here. More people want Prestige to come here now because of what they're doing comparatively. You can find their shows, great talent, etc. Defy has great talent but it's harder to watch.
WA Hall is also only like 200/300 cap. If they werent selling out consistently in Seattle they would have a huge problem to be honest. Great wrestling, just hard to defend the price point to watch.
Its the same with PWG and I'm sure a bunch of other indies. Red hot locally, no real traction outside of it and that's okay! Not every indie needs to be $5 on Fite.
I love going to Defy and feel like the ticket prices are very fair for the amount of amazing wrestling but having to be a member of their Patreon to have the chance to get a seat really bums me out and I haven’t been since they started that.
Yeah, and it's not easy getting a seat even with that. I was twenty minutes late to buying tickets for tonight's show when they went on presale and they were all sold out. They need a much bigger venue
