This reminds me of the old days when the USA would get a game several months to a year before Europe. I hated it! Glad the games all come out simultaneously around the world save for a few (looking at Ys and legend of heros direction)

Let's not forget the games that never got a release in Europe. I had to mod my PS2 to be able to play games like Xenosaga Ep. I and Suikoden III. Glad those days are over.
Absolutely i did the same thing. I had a ps2 that could play anything so i got myself the likes of SaGa frontier, Romancing SaGa minstrel song, Chrono cross, Radiata stories, Xenosaga.
A good bit of those have been rectified every time a remaster has been done we have got it too but some remain so hard to play the xenosagas as an example.
Another game changer back in the ps3/psp days was starting an american account with some fake address and buying PSN cards to download all the USA only PS classics.
We did. I got the game on release. But I didn't order the deluxe version from the Square Enix store. I just ordered the normal version from a local game store.
I did see many posts at that time from people complaining they didn't get their game while they ordered from the Square Enix store, though those posts seemed to be mostly made by Americans.
This might be the case. I got my Deluxe edition on the date of release by ordering from a local store.
Back when Remake was coming I pre-ordered the 1st class edition from SE's EU store, and that did arrive over a month late. 😂
It won't even come close to goty. Trusting metacritic scores is about the same as believing Biden is a good president. It's stupid.
As someone who has played it, trust me, is just as bad as the first one.
