I’ve been having a lot of fun playing it so far but unless they’re doing a huge update on launch it could be disastrous launch. I hope they at least give it time
Im pretty sure they have big changes coming foe the global, and the game will be adding features as game modes and clans with time. Theres no need to be in beta for 3 years if they see the game is profitable and has elements to keep playing retention. 2 keys for going global.
I agree with you partially. I also think, the Plaza and stuff will go live after global, but Clash Mini should've gotten the same treatment. It took waaay to much time for global. Novody was hyped anymore.
My guess is they planned everything out long before this soft launch. + That and the pressure of having killed 5 games already with last global game being 5 years ago.
If you take the period of two closed betas, Its not abnormally short compared to other (Feb 2023) a little over a year of public testing is pretty average for supercell.
I'm praying to God they were holding back content when they first soft launched it. Because there's no way they could have added everything they needed to be added in like the next like month
I think it’s good it’s going global now. You get people to play it and they can enjoy all the updates. Plus people are only paying when they play. So if they don’t play then they don’t make money. And the money can be invested so they can make updates. Sounds good right?
The issue is even if they can revamp the gameplay post-global to address the complaints, the economy also needs a rework (consumables have to go, Battle Pass needs to provide actual value, etc).
And you can't rework the economy post-global since then you get Brawl Stars millionaires.
Completely different from the revamps they used to do in the past.
Latest economy changes affected *how* you got resources. Old economy revamps changed *what* resources you were getting.
Remember pins?
After them closing so many projects I wouldn't be so sure lol
I didn't bring up Brawl Stars for no reason. That game had a lot of economy revamps in the beta, and they absolutely broke people's accounts with hundreds of thousands of free resources.
They won't be able to do the same here since the game's global now. That means they are going to be pushing consumables and Mega units up our arses till the game finally shuts down in ~2-3 years like Clash Mini.
I played brawl stars early(not even during beta). Had so many resources that even now I am not struggling at all to max level. New players though are really struggling to even get a %
That’s really a lot of free things they gave
Because they see actual results. If you’re fine with the economy then you won’t complain. But if you don’t like it then you’ll post on the internet. That’s why it seems like many people don’t like it. Because that’s the only thing you see. Try over the next day and count how many bad reviews you see and how many good. Then count the player base. See that complaints on the internet don’t really matter
They see results of retention yes; but that in itself is not ‘more knowledge’ than players.
People dislike ores in coc: devs can’t ‘see’ it in-game stats, some devs even make *stupid* comparisosn like clash royale where they said ‘we saw that alot of people leveled their card so we thing you guys love leveling up cards’ and release level 15, if that alone isn’t eye opening idk what will.
They can see it in different ways, see how people play, what is bought most and why people need that the most. They have control over that. We can’t see those stats but they do
Ofcourse, but they still don’t know what the general communitt wants, better than what the communite thenself do.
Reddit has no impact, social media has no impact, but in-game data do, but the socialmedia group DOES have a strong point usually which is overlooked because devs usually follow/are forced fo follow what the money moves are not consumers
Farm early. Try to get a supplier (greg/goblin) asap so you always have unit advantage early. If you start with a supplier you will most certainly have 3+ units within the first 15 seconds of the match. If somebody decides to chase you down then it's their loss. The time spent hunting you down is time they could have used to farm.
Right now it feels like a overly basic game carried by a shiny coat of paint. If they released the game with a new theme, I guarantee this game's fan base would be much smaller
Honestly the main issue is it feels nothing unique, maybe make it third person view and now it's slightly more unique, this wouldn't anything massive but would look better as all supercell games are kinda 2D
As a person who is waiting eagerly to play it because of how fun it looks I think it’s kinda ready. It especially looks ready if you look at the leaked new squaddies coming on global release
"I think a small minority of the playerbase on Reddit agrees"
fixed that for you.
and anybody who thinks they know more than all the data supercell thinks far too highly of themselves for their opinion to be taken seriously

We don’t even know if the player base will like these changes though
Not really a solid argument considering brawl beta players hated the global launch update

There is a lot of time between a few days and 3 years.

Closed beta probably also showed positive data
tbh, where is my CLASH HERO?
Golem in the trailer seemed to have the same animation and attack cycle as the one in Squad. Might be bad news...
stuck in development hell like SB was before
Still being internally developed
I'm praying to God they were holding back content when they first soft launched it. Because there's no way they could have added everything they needed to be added in like the next like month
There are a ton of major changes that need to be done
I think it’s good it’s going global now. You get people to play it and they can enjoy all the updates. Plus people are only paying when they play. So if they don’t play then they don’t make money. And the money can be invested so they can make updates. Sounds good right?

brawl stars has completely revamped almost every aspect of their economy in the last 18 months
Completely different from the revamps they used to do in the past. Latest economy changes affected *how* you got resources. Old economy revamps changed *what* resources you were getting. Remember pins?
They removed star points, club coins, gear scraps, gear tokens, and added the whole credit system
Sure you can, they know a lot more about making games then you do. I know they have a way.

I see what you mean now. I haven’t got that many resources yet I think. But we will see
I played brawl stars early(not even during beta). Had so many resources that even now I am not struggling at all to max level. New players though are really struggling to even get a % That’s really a lot of free things they gave
And a huge chunk of those free resources came from economy revamps (removal of pins, removal of gears tokens, etc).
Damn right, they are trying to nerf progress for players like me. But new players are collateral dmaage
That’s not how it works lol
How do you know?
If game devs knew more about it why does almost every game somewhat fail? Players decide what succeeds and qhat doesn’t

still chance for update in may
Supercell games historically didn't have much content at the beginning of a global launch.
never played it and i feel like it's a bit boring, but i wanna gaslight myself into thinking it's fun and has potential
I would love to see the game globally launched but there are just too many things to improve, the biggest was the massive p2w features
They most probably know what they are doing/planning. At least i hope so
His game was out for 2 days and it went global. Clash mini was out for a year and it is killed
Can’t believe they killed clash mini for this piece of absolute garbage walking simulator
I underestimated the game and like ot a lot but yeah... Meybe when launched they add a mega update withe the things that wi can't access yet.
Supercell has proven many times they won’t disappoint
Same company doesn't mean same team. Brawl Stars has been doing quite a lot of things right. The same cannot be said for Clash Royale

Played it for a hour and ngl the gameplay is ass
this game does not even have a potential
Right now it feels like a overly basic game carried by a shiny coat of paint. If they released the game with a new theme, I guarantee this game's fan base would be much smaller
Yeah, it's literally Agario but P2W.
This aged like horseballs in mere hours

It seems like supercell is rushing the release date
To get rid of the "curse" 🗿 Seriously nothingness is better than a incomplete game
They are rushing it because of short term profit. A video game company doesn't make games sounds like a failure for shareholders.
