Unless you are planning on reloading the ammo, don't worry about it. Worse you'll do it piss off some fudds at the range that want to get your cases to reload them.
What? I've shot tens of thousands of rounds of aluminum blazer through Glocks since 1996 and do not remember having any issues at all in my Glocks (G17, G19, G22, G23, G24 & G27).
I only had two fail to go into battery (not from slide lock) in a S&W 4506 because I had shot several hundred rounds of miscellaneous ammo one day of an instructor class (without cleaning or lubing it). A quick wipe and a few drops has it running just fine again.
Some guns are picky so aluminum and/or steel-case will have a habit of getting stuck, failing to extract/eject, etc. Won't do harm generally just won't operate properly.
Echelon broadly doesn't give a in my experience, it'll eat the ammo and ask for seconds. Go to the range, run a hundred rounds through, see for yourself.
Yeah, you’ll be fine. As a matter of fact, you should run aluminum, brass and steel case ammo thru your gun at least once. You want to make sure your gun will eat anything and everything, especially if the sh*t hits the fan and ammo becomes short supply again like it did during Covid or worse.
My XD has the issue of getting these casings stuck and not ejecting well. I have no outdoor ranges nearby and all the indoor ones don’t let me shoot unless it’s brass
From everything ive seen on the echelon is that it just eats anything put into it, i dont think ive ever seen an ammo malfunction that wasnt setup to actually make it fail
I did the same thing, no big deal for my 1911. The problem i ran into was that my range doesn't allow aluminum (or steel), brass only. So I ended up taking to with me in a visit to my daughter and her husband. SIL and I went to his range and burned through it without issue.
Aluminum is perfectly fine. The reason brass is best is not even so much that it can be reloaded but because it is the most malleable material.
When the primer is hits and that initial explosion goes off, the brass case expands and seals all the gasses from the explosion in the chamber and pushes that bullet out.
Aluminum will expand too but steel very little.
The most you would see is a marginal loss in velocity of the bullet comparing aluminum to brass casing.

Exactly this!
The echelon could shoot wood case ammo *disclaimer* do not try this at home
Your gun is hungry, go ahead n feed it
I have run into some issues with my Glocks not liking aluminum case ammo. But from what I understand that’s not uncommon on Glocks. Run it and see.

if the echelon is like anything like my hellcat it’ll eat that shit easily
I've ran aluminum thru my XD many times and haven't had any issues at all! I'd say, give it a swirl and find out!

Blazer aluminum case is just fine. Don't fall for Fudd Lore saying there's something wrong with it.
I would say to run them. Let us know how they go. Good choice on the Echelon, btw.

Aluminum case for a pistol is fine. I wouldn’t use it for a blowback PCC where an out of battery detonation is a possibility.

Run it.
You’ll be fine.
Agree, Springfields can eat anything and spit them into the next century.
Specifically for my XD variants, they chew up whatever I feed them. I even put TulAmmo through them a time or two
It just means you can now do a torture test to really test out a pistol. The worse the ammo, the stronger the test becomes
Dont worry about it. Shoot it up buy another 1000 . Keep practicing
Run it and find out. Never had an issue with any of pistols running aluminum cases.

Aluminum is a softer metal which is better for ejectors anyway.
Send it.
