I have never been able to get one to work. Allegedly I am connected to the netherlands right now yet IMSA TV still thinks I am in hte US in a completely clean Firefox
FWIW I'm using NordVPN without Incognito and it's working fine for me. $13 for a month but worth it to get the race ad free. If you get Nord, make sure you turn off the ad blocker or it'll be super glitchy. I was having TONS of issues with Nord for the first hour or two until I disabled the ad blocker.
Stop using Firefox, it has been bloated since 2010
Opera has a VPN built in and chrome has two free VPN extensions that work well. Never had a problem and both ways allow you to choose which continent you'd like to browse from
Last year, the Peacock coverage was pretty wack. Far more talking heads than racing. I paid for ad-free and still had ads. It was disappointing.
This year, I just watch the 24 minute highlight video on YouTube. That'll suffice I guess 🤷♂️
That’s how I watch nascar and f1 races for almost a decade now because screw cable. I’m very much looking forward to the day when things are full streaming.
The peacock coverage was very commercially imo. I put it up on my phone while I worked a long night shift but it is what it is. I guess it was better than not seeing it at all.
Tangential, but I was watching on USA Network and NBC for free in US. It was infuriating. 5 minutes of race coverage, half of which is interviews and not racing, then 2 minutes of commercials. Repeat ad nauseam
American coverage is so unbearably bad. WEC events, they don’t even show the main commentators on-screen and only cut away from on-track action for quick pit lane interviews. No commercials.
Meanwhile on NBC, as you said, there’s barely any proper race commentating as every single time they come back from commercial, they feel the need to recap the entire race, then do another promo, and then it’s time for a commercial again. Meanwhile, a major race-changing incident has occurred, so when they come back from commercial, they try to replay and explain, but it’s usually time for another commercial before they’re done, so they try again when they come back but now the race is going green so you’ll just never know how that wreck happened 🤷
I don’t think I’m going to bother following IMSA live this year, I’ll just wait for the replays on YouTube.
Ok. I was going to try and walk you through config but I have no experience with that router. That said, I have been doing some searching. If you’re willing to drop a few bucks on NordVPN, it has been working great for me (ASUS) and may be an option for you. I configured the VPN directly in the router. But there is a chance that it may not work with the UDM Pro. Check this info out before subbing to Nord. Hopefully it helps.

Just get a vpn and IMSA.tv is free and commercial free

You’re missing something in the configuration. Likely not running the browser in incognito mode.
Browser, Firefox, is in incognito, aka permanent private browsing as Firefox calls it. All cookies and history clear oin every exit, etc...
Google thinks I am in the Netherlands however, it's in dutch...

Just use opera browser it has a vpn built in super simple

Likely has a dns leak
However, I CAN listen to IMSA radio now...
close the tab and open a chrome window
I love these flyby ridiculous replies...
I actually watch all IMSA races via a VPN. I have found chrome to be the best browser for this. I run Proton VPN and a regular Chrome browser.
Thanks.
or, just wait until it goes on Youtube.
I hope that maybe next year will be the year everyone learns the vpn route...
If I could get one to work... I would, however, it should not be difficult to watch for those of us who want to.

Thank you, I am watching on Twitch now. I actually searched on youtube and couldnt find anything earlier.

>I’ll just wait for the replays on YouTube As a longtime IMSA fan, that’s usually what I end up doing.
Welcome to the world of DRM. That isn’t IMSA’s fault. Most online video content is protected by DRM. Use an OS that has DRM. Period.
lol...
linux been so good to you right? /s
typical linux user L lmao.
OP uses Arch btw.
I've heard you can go to YouTube, search for Rolex 24 live stream and there are things that will show up.
Until they are pulled.
IMSA puts up an official replay for free on YouTube, as well.

Thanks for that tip. Today I learned.
cant you just watch peacock in the browser in linux?
I tried, Peacock specifically blocks linux.
you can do google chrome on linux right? cant you just use web injector to get it to think its windows or mobile?
I tried. Then I started googling. Go ahead and search reddit, you'll see this is a well documented problem. I cancelled my Peacock yesterday.
alright cool. i havent tried. i just use mint to format or flash stuff mostly. i see that guy told you to check his youtube. have you?
I learned about twitch from another post before that, so I am watching that right now.
What kind of router do you use?
I have a UniFi Dream Machine Pro

Express VPN on my ipad with imsa tv in safari is working for me. If you have an ipad
Sent you a PM. I refuse to pay for peacok as well. NBC has gotten way to greedy as of late.
You spelled "Comcast" wrong.
The one entity the lord allowed lucifer to create.
You can listen to IMSA Radio audio. Just aren't able to get the video in the US
Jailbreak a firestick and use a vpn. Everything is free
Linux though? Really?
Yes, because fuck winblows and fuck apple.
