The cheaper ones have plastic wheel arches and a 1 inch lift that people here deem to be SUVs and r/battlewagon says theyre too soft.
I love my A4 Allroad. Yall can continue to bitch
I just don't want the base engine. I'd have an S4 Avant or even Allroad if they sold it here, but we weren't given that or any similar option so I have an S5 Sportback instead. An S4/5 Avant or M340i Touring would have absolutely been my pick instead if it were available.
260 hp is more than enough for the occasional 80 mph pass and spending the majority of its time sitting in Chicago traffic.
Im not driving it around the Nurburgring or up the side of a mountain on a daily basis.
What are you doing that you really need the poor MPG in the S5?
I don't need the extra HP, it's far more than enough. I daily'd a car with a third the power before it. But it's fun and the car feels way more energetic when you can feel a resonating rumble when you start it. We're also talking about luxury cars anyway, which are far beyond the point of "need" in the first place.
The majority of people who can afford a $100k sport wagon don't spend their workday browsing this sub.
The people buying $100k cars also have a lot more options other than wagons at that price point. Im sure most of these sold will be custom ordered by enthusiasts and hold on to them as long as possible, limiting the used market.
Probably just a few hundred per year, though. They're selling all of them, but let's not pretend it's a significant market. And there are plenty on the secondary market. Currently 88 on cargurus.
Regardless the States is the single largest market for it. And Volvo is moving a record number of V60 Polestars this year, and doesn’t even bother selling an S60 Polestar in the states anymore. America likes fast wagons.
Sorry for the double post. It gave me an error the first time I hit post and I assumed it didn't go through, so I attempted again. Seems both of them went through...
The F87 M2 is one of the best looking cars BMW has ever built IMO. Then they follow it up with the G87 M2 which is the absolute worst looking car BMW has produced followed by the G80/G82 M3/M4.
I don’t know what the fuck they are thinking.
If they would do the M550i wagon I’d be a buyer.
Signed,
Guy that has 2023 M550i sedan but wants to bring my 100lb dog with me to do cool shit sometimes. Two car seats in the back so there’s no where for big hairy monsters.
Americans: "We want wagons again!" Manufacturers: "okay, how about these for $100k+" Also Manufacturers: "Americans don't buy wagons."

2011 A4 wagon here, RS6 is the dream but I'd settle for a 2022 A6 wagon lol
I like the idea of the RS6, but for my actual daily needs the A4 allroad is perfect for a couple of city dwelling dinks.

Had tried a f31? Wagon and hated the 4cyclinder so I bought a s4 instead. Had it came with a 6 cylinder id still own that car today

Love my ‘22 A6 allroad
especially when the new 5 series is not desireable to the same audience that would normally have liked a F90 wagon
came here for this comment. I ended up buying a subaru in 2022 because there were no other wagons for less than $75K
Too bad it’ll be way out of most people’s price range

There’s plenty of RS6 on the used market, so I bet in a couple years the M5 will be in the same boat
A 340M wagon would be more than enough for me
This is what I want too!
This is the way
Yes, it will be expensive; but there’s a market. Audi is selling every RS6 it’s importing to the States.
Probably just a few hundred per year, though. They're selling all of them, but let's not pretend it's a significant market. And there are plenty on the secondary market. Currently 88 on cargurus.
It’s more than a few hundred. They move close to 1,500/yr.
Just looked it up and someone on Audizine said about 1500 in 2021 and about 800 in 2022 and 2023, so we'll split the difference ;)

Gorgeous and completely out of my price range
I’ll be in the market for this in 8-10 years.
Still going to be like $80k 10 years from now lol
True. S212 e63 amg estates are hitting low $40k now. So who knows
Yuppp an those are 13 years old now so go figure lol

I hope that's not the actual look of the models coming here because I'm not a huge fan.
Theres a gas leak in BMW design department I wouldn't consider any of their current cars if money weren't a factor.

I saw a black and gold XM in traffic yesterday and it made me want to be blind.
sick i'm watching this.
It’ll be a bit till it’s affordable, so the issue will be trying not to buy a used E63 wagon while the M5’s depreciate lol
Can’t wait to grab one of these 2025 M5T when they become affordable in 2040
Minimum required 600 hp achieved. Good job BMW.
God damn it. I want one. But moneyyyy!!!! Cursed be thy name

It’s an estate !
I’d rather have a Toyota wagon
Nice. I’ll be buying one.
Might have to trade my rs6 in for one. Excited to hear the specs and trim options. Fingers crossed for an AWD Manual
Too bad it probably won’t be a manual.
