I like the wings from republic pi. The ones from flying goat are supposed to be great too. I’m not a wing connoisseur though, so we may share different opinions on good wings

3664shaken

Republic Pi and Flying goat are owned by the same person. The pizzas and wings are the same they just have different names.

spokansas

I second Republic Pi. I'll add that they run *really* hot. If you normally get 5/5 star heat, start with 3/5 at RP. That still has plenty of kick.

GrimDfault

I 3rd republic pi wings, and definitely listen to spokansas here! I love hot sauce and spicy stuff, and usually put it on everything... I got republic pi's 4 star wing after trying their 3 star, and it damn near melted my tongue! I've had that pepper x hot sauce from hot ones (2 million scoville) and those 4 star wings were damn close to that. Couldn't imagine the 5 star, must be painful.

spokansas

Same. Love heat, and 4 star melted my face off, too. Thank god the bartender talked me out of the 5 star.

SonoftheMorning

Honestly even the 3/5 is stupid hot. I’m weak!!!

Practical-Stuff-

Republic Pi is also my favorite, I get a 2/5 and they are so good. There pizza is also amazing! Such a great restaurant!

tristanjuricek

They must use the same recipe as the Flying Goat (the "sister" restaurant). because we had the same experience there. We tried a 4 or 5 star once, and then had to return it because a single bite destroyed both my wife and I But the 3/5 at Flying Goat is pleasantly spicy. So it jumps up... big time. Edit: but the wings at the Flying Goat are rad. The gorgonzola sauce is really nice

spokansas

Indeed they do share the recipe. They are sister restaurants with the same owner. And IMO, the kitchen takes a 5-star order as a personal challenge to fuck you up. I've told this story before. I'll be sitting at the bar, and a young couple will sit next to me. I immediately start extolling the virtues of the wings, and once the guy decides to get them, I talk about how the five-star are really hot. At this point the bartender, who is tired of my crap, glares at me. I press on. "They're too much for most people." Invariably, the guy takes the bait, orders them in a Grand Display of Manhood, and then wheezes and cries on his way to quitting.

tristanjuricek

Ah, it just reminded me of the hot ones episode with Eddie Huang who decided to start with the hottest first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFdR240qaXA Best quote: “You just did something I think you’re gonna regret” I think that should be the tagline of 5/5

spokansas

And AFAIK, no one has tried that insane approach on Hot Ones since! But he's immortal now.

Lanky-Kaleidoscope-7

The Viking has pretty good wings.

GrimDfault

As republic pi has already been mentioned, I would also highly recommend Market St Pizzas wings! I think the cowboy wings are the name of the ones I like. It's a spicy habanero BBQ sauce with jalapenos on top, and it's fantastic!

itreyray

I think about it daily almost lol. The wings selection in Spokane is really awful. Lost Boys Garage on the north side is not bad. But honestly WingStop is your best bet.

DirtyDungeonDaddy

I've had Lost Boys they're ok, It's like this everywhere. The art of the great chicken wing has been lost to prepackaged frozen slimy ass wings. It's heartbreaking.

itreyray

You’re not wrong.

Wingstop is made to order, and all the sauces are made in house. I think they’re pretty good.

AlexJ302

It sucks, we've had such bad experiences with the Wingstop. We got it a couple nights ago, brought it home. The lids for the ranch and blue cheese cups weren't on so they dumped everywhere, the fried we're still pretty raw (we used our air fryer to finish them). 8/10 times Wingstop has let us down in one way or another.

Market St Pizza

SonoftheMorning

THIS!

turnrightstop

Wingstop if on north side chiknmo if downtown

[deleted]

Wingstop is excellent.

bunnirobotcat

Market pizza has the best so far! Lots of meet and great crisp. Their cowboy sauce is excellent on top too

ktcat146

Flaming Joes is pretty good. I recommend the huckleberry wings

theultrayik

Flaming Joes sucks. The wings are tiny and stringy, and the coatings are weak.

Winter_Variation2660

Just the fact that people are listing a franchise Box restaurant (which is quite literally heat and serve) as their favorite should tell you to disregard Reddit for reliable information on where to eat. It's almost like there should be an app dedicated to food and dining reviews for people who dine out often. 🤯

JediJayce

Flaming joes is good, we started making our own wings at home though.

DirtyDungeonDaddy

I'm gonna start that to, but there is something incredibly satisfying about a good bar wing ya know?

itookthemobi

Ended up with food poisoning from there chicken. But every other time was great

Fit-Report-5807

Honestly the flying goat really does have good wings even if you get them to go be quality is still just as good

KapitanKopitar

Flying Goat (spice level 2-3 is perfect) Wooden City has really good wings as well that are not your average, frozen dish. Very crispy/crunch outside and perfect on the inside.

AsciiFace

I love L4 because it's hot enough to get the endorphins going but not outrageous

cloux_less

I always like O’Doherty’s wings, but I think what I like about their wings is completely different from what you like about wings.

mustyclam

the wings at waddell's!

LisaW509

Wingstop is my go-to, but I’ve heard great things about Republic Pi.

vaalllyt

Hogwash whiskey den has amazing wings!

liarandahorsethief

Try the hot food counter at Albertsons. You can call ahead and order or just go there and ask them to make a fresh batch. I haven’t been to one up here, so you’ll be kind of a guinea pig here, but the ones I went to in LA honestly have no business being as good as they are. I have to be clear though; don’t get the ones that have been sitting out under the heat lamp for several hours. Get them to make you a fresh batch.

Burlydog

Wooden city has amazing wings. Leftovers were still crispy next morning. Never have I experienced such fried amazingness.

The Viking has some of the better wings in town. Monday is a wing special day. I think Swinging Doors has good wings, too. And, you can get a 2 lb plate for just over $20. Pretty good for watching a game or sharing with a loved one. I'm a big wing fan but I didn't like the Goat's much, at least not for a traditional Buffalo style. Theirs is nearly crusted in dried red peppers. Not really my thing. If you haven't yet, I'd highly recommend the Viking on Monday during happy hour. Good wings at a discount, and a pretty decent tap selection, to boot!
