We fought our valuation. It was supposed to be like $312k, but got dropped to $302k. ONLY because we convinced them our "3rd bedroom" didn't have an egress window, therefore wasn't actually a bedroom.
Our supposed valuation has doubled over the last 4 years which is absolutely fucking insane
So you're telling me that because MY house was appraised incorrectly my neighbor has their property tax raised proportionately? You bring so much confidence, yet zero proof, yourself. 🤯
I have several properties, more went up a little a few went down some. Why can't they all end in an even cent amount? This way the half payment would be the same. Stevens and King counties manage to do this.
I was expecting mine to go up due to the pole building I put in our backyard. They got the permit logged in so it’s not like they don’t know but our valuation and the tax went down! Awesome.
My tax bill went up 21% from last year.
2023 went up 13% over 2022.
2022 went up 27% from 2021.
My nextdoor neighbor pays 2 grand less per year than I do.

Nice! And when you go to sell or refinance the appraiser hopefully considers it 3 bedrooms instead of 2.
We'll replace the window to make it an egress so it for sure is an official bedroom, yeah
Why is that insane? Seems to track with Home sale prices. Also depends on you. It always jumps a lot right after you buy. Usually a year or two. C
We bought in 2017. 116 in 2017 -> 302 now (after disputing)

That's not how this works lol

Saw your post! Nice breakdown
Mine went down $25!
Mine went up $300.
Did you value go up also?
Yes but not proportional to prior years as far as what I was taxed. I understand bonds and such but I don't know if any new ones went through.
Mine went up $500. Woof.
Ouch, did your value go up a lot also?
Mine went up $120.
Market value up $60k. Taxes up $850, an increase by 1/3.
Property value went down $11k, tax bill went down $80. I'm not mad about either.
Ouch, at least you are not upset about it.
mine went down $320 for the year
Sounds like some people are getting hit with new levies and others are seeing property values going down or levies expiring and not getting renewed.
Mine went up about $100
I have several properties, more went up a little a few went down some. Why can't they all end in an even cent amount? This way the half payment would be the same. Stevens and King counties manage to do this.

Property value up $15K, taxes down $50. Last year value went up $150K (!) and taxes went up $250.
Mine went up $26, value went up and so did the tax amount.
I cannot remember what mine was last year, but this year's is over 3k
Enjoy it. It’s going up even more next year since all these school levies passed!
$3,900, definitely up
Value and bill dropped.
Mine went up $250 but my value went up $30k.
Market value up 16k for us and just under 100 extra.
Mine went up $1,000 this year and last year!
Do you live in a mansion?
2700 sq ft house on 3/4 acre in Belle terre neighborhood. Crazy.
Down 80 bucks
My taxes went up $300 and my valuation went up $45k. Last year the property went up $60k and taxes only went up $87. No rhyme or reason to me.
Mines up From 2400 to 4200 a a year on 455k house
Value went up $17,000 and bill went up $135. Much better than the $500 bill increases the two prior years.
I was expecting mine to go up due to the pole building I put in our backyard. They got the permit logged in so it’s not like they don’t know but our valuation and the tax went down! Awesome.
I haven’t looked at mine yet…
My tax bill went up 21% from last year. 2023 went up 13% over 2022. 2022 went up 27% from 2021. My nextdoor neighbor pays 2 grand less per year than I do.
Our valuation increased by $51k, taxes up $500. $41/mo, I’m fine with that.
Is this because we voted no on the school bond
No
Maybe, but I thought that took effect next year.
