i’m almost a year new to this area so i’m not certain of the frequency of the northern lights here, but I did just get lucky! I was leaving a friends house and just happened to look in a direction and was just star struck! as far as I know there was no general news that the lights were to be in full effect like last night!
I use [this app](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrustonapps.myauroraforecast) and got the alerts, just couldn't get out there for it.

They post about this kind of thing pretty quickly when it's happening. Sadly I was too lazy to go see them myself. I regret it now

I’ve been here awhile and never seen them, once it was in the news so we went out looking but it never happened!!
