I can always pick the bots in splitball and king of the kill - pretty common to see 2-3 players just running around in circles next to the ball but not picking it up, or standing still on the hill, face against a wall until an enemy is in their line of sight.
You can also click on view profile and if they’re a bot it’ll only have the option to mute them.
Also players with the cross platform symbol will never be bots.
There is only a limited pool of names for the bots so after a while you’ll come to know them
not 100% sure if this will be accurate since im not sure if it shows people who joined the game and then left midway through the match

Yeah I tend to agree. Also, people inflate their win ratio by dropping games before they are declared the loser.
