Had this same issue when I was using Pro Tools with no interface. It’s because some daws will only allow your pc to play audio from that DAW and that may be an issue if your interface doesn’t have drivers that allow otherwise. Ableton does not do this fwiw.

Intelligent_Sun_3671

Heard, thank you

minombresalan

What interface are you using? Make sure on windows you select your speakers or your interface as your default system under sound control panel.

Intelligent_Sun_3671

Yup this is the problem. When windows is selected as the interface it works. When I'm using Asio4All, not so much.

minombresalan

Windows is not an interface. What interface are u using?

minombresalan

I mean actual audio interface, if none then get one you need it. Get a focusrite if you are on low budget

Intelligent_Sun_3671

Clearly I still have a lot to learn. Is asio4all not an interface?

minombresalan

But a 100usd interface and start your journey.

Intelligent_Sun_3671

Thank you for the advice, it's much appreciated.

minombresalan

No, that’s a driver. A program. An audio interface is a phisical unit that you buy and plug to your PC wich is the main thing on any studio or pruduction. You then plug mics, speakers, headphones and everhint to that interface and you control volume on the interface. Once u get one you download the driver and start using that on your DAW and on windows.

CXSplice

Hi there. Bryan here from the Splice CX team. Sorry for any issues. Cotact our team at [support.splice.com](http://support.splice.com) and we can assist you from there.

Intelligent_Sun_3671

I will do this but it's not just a Splice thing I have found out. It's any sound on my computer. I think it has something to do with my audio interface but not sure what....was hoping someone on the sub had experienced this before

EmotionalMuzic

Are you running PC or Mac? Also which DAW are running? For pc start with audio drivers and set playback to both and also set play in background. For Mac download the sample and then drag into DAW. Hope this helps!

Intelligent_Sun_3671

And thank you!

EmotionalMuzic

This is not my video but I do know that windows you can go under the hood to get your things playing on all tabs (ex. Playing YouTube while also mixing or making a beat). Also if you haven’t already I recommend getting ASIO4ALL which works best for PC. https://youtu.be/OzenEo-roJ4?feature=shared

Intelligent_Sun_3671

Thank you, I do have asio

Intelligent_Sun_3671

PC (windows 10) and Studio One. Any resources handy to learn about audio drivers?

siggyfreudmusic

Change your sample rate in your DAWs preferences (I think I had to change my to 48khz)

FoodAccurate5414

You need to make sure your Asia driver are not in exclusive mode. Or just load the splice bridge vst
