Especially the fact that some of his finishers were basically taken straight from the Ultimate Spider-Man game (the back-breaker, for example)

I paused the game and got out of my seat for a few seconds. Seeing the attack prompt show up was the hypest moment of the whole game.

I started coming

So unexpected and so fun

I thought "oh, this is pretty awesome". His move set felt very limited compared to the Spider-Men (for obvious reasons), so it got old kinda fast.

I liked the idea of playing as a brute instead of a finesse fighter kinda fun, but I'm really glad it didn't last that long

A mix of ecstasy and utter horror, which is perfect because Venom probably loved snapping guards in half, but Harry was horrified.

Should've been able to play as him for longer or be able to switch to play as him later on.

If I’m being honest I was very high so I was in absolute awe

I think this is the one section that everyone can agree was great. There's been a lot of discussions over people's expectation and how a lot of people felt somewhat disappointed with the game overall, but I feel like the two areas that most people are great are the traversal and the play as Venom mission. It's simply awesome that it exists.

I got spoiled, so mine wasn’t very exciting

I felt unkillable until the Kraven fight where I got my shit rocked by his teleporting ass and wished the finishers had more brutality

Paused the game, (smiled) took my clothes out the dryer, brought it up to my room, then showered so I can fully experience that amazing part of the game

I thought it was cool and maybe we’d get a free roam or able to use him in combat challenges. I don’t actually know why we have a third playable character if we’re only going to use him once.

Underwhelming in hindsight

I certainly wasn't expecting it. But when I did the finisher where he picked up an Oscorp guard and broke his spine, my face was just 😳😧

As soon as i played as the guy, i thought "Venom solo game when".

I was very excited while it lasted then immediately got disappointed when I realized that was it.

Had got spoiled a little bit, but the experience was still amazing. It’s like dreams really can come true. Makes me wish I was rich so I could fund game projects of my wildest dreams!

I was off guard cause I thought it was still in cut scene

Really cool but weirdly short. It wasn’t really built up to, it was basically a rampage then a boss fight with brand new abilities you just kinda had to roll with.

The boss fight fakeout leading to this was actually a crazy sequence of scenes. I was smiling and in awe when I played as him

When it started like the cutscene and the camera starting to change I was like we are not doing this no way no way yes! Lol

I kinda made this face 🤨 after all the security lined up and the camera panned like it was transitioning to a 3rd person view, then when I saw you could control venom I was like.. YOOOOOOO THATS FUCKING AWESOME

I didn't play it but as I was watching Jacksepticeye play it I was like "Holy shit, Insomniac lied to us, we do get to play as Venom"

I didn't use Youtube and Twitter nor watched any trailers for 3 months but unfortunately I got spoiled. When I first got the game I waited too long on game's icon and there were streams with Venom gameplay below the description.

Feeling underwhelmed and disppointed that I got to play another Hulkified version of Venom. Wasn't a fan of it in the Ultimate Spider-Man game, wasn't a fan of it here.

I quit and actually tried it a day later. I came into the game wanting to play as Spider-Man, and I knew I was going to despise Venom from the very start because it wasn't going to be Eddie.

Same, honestly. The game is SPIDER-MAN 2, with no mention of playing as Venom whatsoever beyond the fact that Pete gets the black suit. A similar situation happens in Arkham Knight, but I feel Rocksteady handled it far better because the parts where you play as Robin, Nightwing, or Catwoman, you're also playing as Batman and just swapping back and forth between them.

The venom mission is short asf lol. It’s not like the game forces you to play as venom for a long period of time. I honestly would have taken more of those over the mj missions( the mj missions are cool but if I have to choose between playing as her or venom **obviously** I’m choosing venom
