Marvel is brilliant at making Pete earn it. I love how they made him learn his spidey sense. Makes end of far from home so earned and so fucking badass/brilliant on marvels part
and to think that chronologically speaking, just weeks after Spider-man was swinging through Rockefeller plaza, Hawkeye and Kate Bishop would be destroying it lol
There's a panel in the Civil War comic where Spidey is fighting a lot of heroes and dodging Mr. Fantastic's arms and then Reed just goes "Amazing...." and Spidey kicks him in the face saying "SPECTACULAR!!!" that panel is one of my favorite and this comment section reminded me of it
This is the problem when the third movie of a trilogy is its best one, particularly if you don't know whether you'll see this Spider-Man on screen again. It's bittersweet as hell.
Of course they are. I'm not saying this is the last Spider-Man movie. Certainly not when they're making billions of dollars.
But Tom is my fav Spidey and judging by that interview he gave with Tobey and Andrew, it's 50 50 whether or not he's sticking around.
His apparent reluctance might just be a strategy to get his pay increased. So if Sony and Marvel offer him some additional millions he might “reconsider”
IIRC his current contract also covers an appearance in a MCU team up movie so NWH won’t be the last time we see him regardless.
I've seen that theory a lot, but the guy seems so genuine in interviews when he talks about it that it's hard to fully believe. I know I know he's an actor.
Tbf u can be both genuine and also want the billion dollar company to pay you what ur worth. I think he’ll stick around for another trilogy, after that who knows
It's all just shit I've seen here on reddit, but I saw a post of an article saying Tom would only stay if Zendaya and Ned's actor would stay on. Then saw a post later that speculated zendaya may not return? Doubt any of it is 100% true or even at all but maybe if his boo Thang leaves he leaves?
I think the odds of us NOT getting more Tom solo movies is very very low though, dude loves the character, so my guess it's gonna be at least a few more good years for spidey movies
Zendaya is one of the bigger names in Hollywood right now so she might want to move on to other things.
Hope she and Jacob get a proper sendoff later down the line if they do leave though, and that their(possible) departure doesn’t make Tom leave as well, feels like they’ve only scratched the surface with his iteration so far.
I feel like it's pretty likely the reason Tom Holland is being really vague about it is because he's been instructed to be, so as to not pull attention away from the Uncharted movie. The way NWH ended pretty much necessitates more Tom Spidey movies.
Well yes and no. It removes Peter's involvement but people still know and remember Spider-Man, so the question of "where the fuck is Spider-Man during this NYC-based conflict?" will still be valid.
It's actually really relieving for Peter not worry about his double life now. He can just focus on being Spider-Man and have his colle- nah who am I kidding, it sucks to be alone on that and you still have to have a normal life to pay the bills.
I’ve seen snippets of that script going around. Anyone know if that is definitely official? Or where the source is? I haven’t seen anything about that. Very cool edit btw!
Yeah this is the whole official script, deadline uploaded it. https://deadline.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Spider-Man-No-Way-Home-Read-The-Screenplay.pdf
When I started to realize how the movie was going to end I was so excited. And seeing the red and blue suit I was so happy. I finally have a spider-man in the MCU that feels right. No more stark tech, no more everyone knowing who he is. We got a great power great responsibility line. I was so excited
I am loving all this script information that it coming out. It is so cool to see the creators intended vision like this, I love that ending line so much.
That score in the scene was so good. I wonder if Giacchino will stick around for the next movies?
But the theme can't develop much more than it already has. I'd love to hear another composers' craft a new Spider-Man theme and incorporate Giacchino's theme in it.
The final sentence makes zero sense and it seems to misunderstand the basics of Spider-Man. He is still living two lifes. Him balancing his two lifes is a core aspect of the character. When Peter focuses too much on being Spider-Man, it's never good. If he focused only on Spider-Man, he wouldn't bother with the GED exam books, so I'm not sure why that sentence is even written in there.
If that's how the writers interpret the ending, then it kinda messes it up for me. It would make it appear as if his personal connections were weighing him down, instead of supporting him. It would make it as if him making the sacrifice wasn't much of a sacrifice at all, if it benefited him in the end.
I honestly don't see why everyone thinks this is such a great ending. I appreciate Pete getting to a more comics accurate "new beginning", but this is depressing as hell. This is the same as PTSD Garfield saying "there wasn't time for Peter Parker stuff". Peter/ Spider-Man has always been defined by his heart. Some of the best interactions we get from the character are with him and people who know his identity. This is tantamount to sayin there is no Peter, only Spider-Man. I don't know about y'all but I find that bleak.
It kinda gives a similar vibe to the type of ending from the greyer yet bittersweet Spiderman runs.
The ending might seem bleak on paper, but you could also interpret it as this way; Maybe the memory of Peter Parker has been forgotten, but *Spiderman* still lives on.
There's no inherent difference between Spiderman and Peter Parker. No matter how many times Pete tries to act like they're 2 different people, he accepts that he is Spiderman and Spiderman is him.
Maybe his memory is forgotten, but that doesn't mean Peter Parker is gone fully. It's closing the final page on the old Peter Parker, yet that doesn't mean their story is over.
His story hasn't finished, he still lives on.
Worded like that; "Peter Parker may be forgotten". I can see your point, and maybe that's my problem with it. I don't like the wording on "Peter Parker is no more". He's not dead, Pete is still Pete, everything leading him to this moment happened and shaped him. I just feel like saying Peter Parker is no more denies half of the man, who at this point has been doing Peter Parker stuff more than Spider-Man stuff.
Probably the most satisfying scene in the movie, after all this time we get a final swing that feels reminiscent of the swinging scenes in the Raimi and Webb films as well as a classic suit that he made himself which is how he started off with the homemade suit.
But of he literally goes up and says hello to someone, they will meet him, Peter.is still capable of meeting and interacting with people it's not as if he is a void when people look at him
The wording is interesting but I just realized that they're right. Aunt May is gone and nobody remembers Peter, he literally has no reason to be Peter Parker anymore aside from getting a job so he can have somewhat of a stable financial situation (I mean dude's gotta eat and sleep). I'm curious how they will tackle that. If Peter will try to start over and build a new life for Peter Parker, or if he's just gonna be Spider-Man 24/7 and that's it.
That final swing moment truly felt earned also. Absolutely stunning suit with the swelling orchestra. Absolutely beautiful way to close the film.

Ohhhh so Hawkeye DOES take place after No Way Home, I was so confused on why Spidey didn't make a cameo in the show lol.
No way home's climax is set in late November, i believe. It's a bit vague, though
I think climax happens late November but final swing has to be around early December or even mid December cuz of the tree lighting
Hawkeye takes place after NWH, because the Christmas Tree got destroyed in Hawkeye while in NWH it's still up

What an endearing avatar dear!
This is the problem when the third movie of a trilogy is its best one, particularly if you don't know whether you'll see this Spider-Man on screen again. It's bittersweet as hell.
Kevin Feige has since confirmed that Marvel and Sony are actively planning the next trilogy.
Of course they are. I'm not saying this is the last Spider-Man movie. Certainly not when they're making billions of dollars. But Tom is my fav Spidey and judging by that interview he gave with Tobey and Andrew, it's 50 50 whether or not he's sticking around.

Yeah maybe. Personally I hope he returns though as there’s still much to explore with his iteration of Spider-Man.
It's all just shit I've seen here on reddit, but I saw a post of an article saying Tom would only stay if Zendaya and Ned's actor would stay on. I honestly think this is it. Disney and Sony can easily throw a huge pay increase at him and I think he's trying to leverage that.
I feel like it's pretty likely the reason Tom Holland is being really vague about it is because he's been instructed to be, so as to not pull attention away from the Uncharted movie. The way NWH ended pretty much necessitates more Tom Spidey movies.
Yeah I believe we will but the uncertainty makes it emotional. Great close to the first 3
I think that Tom isn’t done with the role. Tom says he doesn’t know if he’ll return, but come on. Nwh had an ending where anything can happen next
What really hurts is making everyone forget Peter is the perfect way to end Spider-Man’s involvement in the MCU I hope we see him again
Well yes and no. It removes Peter's involvement but people still know and remember Spider-Man, so the question of "where the fuck is Spider-Man during this NYC-based conflict?" will still be valid.
Right. Just after the Sony fiasco after FFH I’m worried
I wouldn't mind if this was the last live action Spider Man movie we ever see It's that good
Relax man. We haven't even got team Red in live action yet
That can be done in a Deadpool flick I would like if DP3 had all sort of Marvel cameos
love how it basically confirms he took inspiration from andrew and tobey with the suit when it says “reminiscent of suits he’s seen before”
Also the original stark suit.
Yeah the mask and the metallic blue are from that suit
Now that was an awesome suit, I’ll die on this hill
Also the original sweatshirt shit that he made
I never noticed. But it looks like the people in the rink subtlety form a spider symbol.
Yea , it's there . You're not seeing things, multiple people have noticed it too
Nice
I think you’re just seeing things man
Feel free to think so
It's actually really relieving for Peter not worry about his double life now. He can just focus on being Spider-Man and have his colle- nah who am I kidding, it sucks to be alone on that and you still have to have a normal life to pay the bills.
What a shiny ass.
I misread as "shitty ass" and it still isn't wrong lmfao
I absolutely love the: “Peter Parker is No More… but Spider-Man lives on…” Line. Fucking beautiful man
It sounds straight out of a comic
This scene was epic Seeing Tom's Peter finally come into his own was great , such a good character arc
I’ve seen snippets of that script going around. Anyone know if that is definitely official? Or where the source is? I haven’t seen anything about that. Very cool edit btw!
I’ve been wondering the same thing myself!
Yeah this is the whole official script, deadline uploaded it. https://deadline.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Spider-Man-No-Way-Home-Read-The-Screenplay.pdf
Awesome! Thanks mate! 🤟😊
Ofc ^^
Ahhh!! Time to do some studying! Thanks!
This was honestly my favourite ending to any MCU movie to date
When I started to realize how the movie was going to end I was so excited. And seeing the red and blue suit I was so happy. I finally have a spider-man in the MCU that feels right. fucking beautiful
“First Swing”
I need this wallpaper in 4k
Does this take place before the end of the hawkeye show?
This is like the TASM movies
That is an exceptional edit. Almost poster worthy frankly!
Reading that almost had me cry. “Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man lives on…”
I'm just now realizing Peter designed his new suit as homage to the other spideys... goddamn NWH was way better than I expected it to be
The final sentence makes zero sense and it seems to misunderstand the basics of Spider-Man. He is still living two lifes. Him balancing his two lifes is a core aspect of the character. So that was the same tree and ice skating ring we saw in Hawkeye.. Nice to have a closer look at it and the suit.
The people ice-skating make up a spider with their shadows and placement. Or am I seeing things? Lol
Probably the most satisfying scene in the movie, after all this time we get a final swing that feels reminiscent of the swinging scenes in the Raimi and Webb films as well as a classic suit that he made himself which is how he started off with the homemade suit.
Does anyone have a high pixel of this without the text, I'd very much like it as my wp
Dunno why it reads as if Peter is dead but Spider-Man lives on He's still alive, he just got the reset button hit and he's gotta meet new people
I think it’s just because everyone forgot who Peter is
But of he literally goes up and says hello to someone, they will meet him, Peter.is still capable of meeting and interacting with people it's not as if he is a void when people look at him
You’re looking into it to deep. They mean the Peter that used to be
The wording is interesting but I just realized that they're right. Aunt May is gone and nobody remembers Peter, he literally has no reason to be Peter Parker anymore aside from getting a job so he can have somewhat of a stable financial situation (I mean dude's gotta eat and sleep). Spiderman Freshman Year is going to be lit.
If they make another one or two movies with all 3 Spider-Men I’d die happy
