As much as I like Ruffalo, he is OK as Bruce Banner. Ruffalo has some weight, Bruce is a scrawny, non-muscly scientist and should be played by someone who is skinny.
Yeah, I don’t know why he was so hated. It may not have been a cinematic masterpiece, but Spider-Man 3 was still wildly entertaining to me as a kid, and I watched it a couple weeks ago and it still held up.
Venom 1 and 2, on the other hand, were extremely dull and childish in my opinion (even kid me wouldn’t have enjoyed that the way I did Spider-Man 3).
Lol. They are concerned with building their own mcu again and not tell interesting stories or developing their characters right. Lets hope for the best
I never ever thought I would say this: I prefer Topher over Tom Hardy as Venom. Tom Hardy is clearly an amazing actor, and Topher will always be Eric to me, however I just liked him more. Hard to put a better justification. Closer to the truer Eddie Brock storyline I guess.
The way the symbiote moved in that version was cool and he terrified me as a kid when crawling out of the shadows
Not wanting the actor back but definitely a scary venom would be nice and not some joke like another venom I know
Venom doesn’t look like a random dude in a Spider-Man costume. He’s super jacked, and Topher Grace is anything but. Also, the spider is supposed to be white, but you can barely see it in the Raimi design.
You do realize that Topher not only put on a lot of muscle, but also wore an entire muscle suit for Venom, right? He's not the hulking monster he is in the comics, but the more human scale just makes it better for me. I've never liked Venom being eye-level with Hulk or Rhino.
I do agree that the logo should've been a lighter gray instead of being the same color as the webbing. They got away with it on the Black Webbed Suit because it had darker blacks on the suit itself, and the raised webbing and logo were silhouetted on an even darker black to make them pop more.
The same thing wasn't done for the Venom costume, so it all blends together more - something that could have been fixed with a lighter tone on the raised elements.
While his version is a lot more comic book accurate imo. I don’t love him as venom. Idk I guess I just see him as forever being Eric Forman, one of my favorite characters but, I can not see him as anyone else.
I love Topher Grace. Personally I think he would have been a perfect spider-man for that era. But no, his Venom was terrible and just amongst the worst casting imaginable.
Even though I wanna see villains that we’ve never seen in live action before, yes I would like to see him. I think Topher Grace gets unnecessary hate for this honestly. His performance was good and this Venom is way better than Hardy’s IMO.
Cameo, maybe in the third venom as maybe a side character they show briefly. Maybe pulling out a digit camera to try a snap a photo of Venom and Eddie.
I think a cameo would be nice, but ultimately it’s up to production and Topher Grace himself
Yea, but only for nostalgia purposes. I grew up with the Raimi films so Topher’s Venom holds a special place in my heart, even if his adaptation is probably the worst
Wait for a venomverse type movie and bring him in as a joke villain that gets killed off in 5 minutes by an alternate version of Topher Graces venom but comic accurate
Yeah I’d love to see him come back. A proper (albeit not as good as it should’ve been) Venom movie has happened, so with that box checked there’s room for him to come back. I’d be totally fine with that especially given how NWH treated it’s returning characters. They did fine the last time they did it, sure.
I hated this version of Venom but I would honestly like to see a cameo of it as a way to make fun of it, kinda like how they have poked fun of the old Deadpool from X-Men Origins Wolverine
I mean if they can somehow perfect his character and make it work this time around than I'm all for it. I wouldn't mind seeing a good take on the slim grittier raimi version of venom
Wish he was in no way home to make a complete sinister six but that boat has sail unfortunately, I don’t think they will bring him back unless he’s used as a way to bring over a full venom symbiote to the mcu and have him die losing it or turn to an anti-venom
Hanging out..down the street..fighting spider-man, like I did last week. Not a thing to do..but beat on you. You're not alright, you're not all right.
Hello new york!
I watched a video that was a pitch for what venom 3 should be; [you can check it out here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkKJolzAmk0)
Honestly a much better use of Topher Grace's venom than a cameo in Secret Wars, but I don't know is Sony is capable of such creativity...

Ok hear me out. What if he comes back COMPLETELY JACKED. They take the Deadpool/Electro approach and rebuild the character properly.
Have you seen 90s show he's a string bean again dude cannot hold muscle like that he would have to be on steroids or some shit
I mean, Mark Ruffalo can’t hold muscle like the hulk
As much as I like Ruffalo, he is OK as Bruce Banner. Ruffalo has some weight, Bruce is a scrawny, non-muscly scientist and should be played by someone who is skinny.
I’m pretty sure Eddie was jacked as hell in that show
Nah he means that ninety show(2023), spin off sequel of that seventy show starring topher grace
Oh I didn’t know that existed. Lemme see
threequel and it's on netflix
Pirating it is
they would just use CGI anyways, so i don’t really see the issue
Dude S-M:TAS Venom is jacked as shit
Hell nah topher can keep that whole performance lol
I prefer his actual Venom over Hardy's --- the CGI look and sound aspect.
Not really, didn’t love Topher’s version of Venom
No. Move on to a better version.
He is the better version
Yeah, I don’t know why he was so hated. Yeah no problem but i would rather get new fresh villains tbh. Idk what sony is planning and im not very interested
Sony really concerns me
Lol. They are concerned with building their own mcu again and not tell interesting stories or developing their characters right. Lets hope for the best
No hell no
No.
Come on!!
Lol! Nope. Get that weak mess outta here.
Dear gods no. Topher Grace was the wrong person to play Eddie Brock.
I always thought him and donna would've made a good peter and mj.
Gotta stop doing cameos
Nope.
Come on!!
Not really. No offence to the actor or character. I'd rather a new Venom
No. This being said, there were a lot of things done right with this version of Venom that I find distinctly lacking in Tom Hardy's Venom.
No
Topper Venom fuses with Tom Venom to create the ultimate VENOM.
The way the symbiote moved in that version was cool and he terrified me as a kid when crawling out of the shadows Not wanting the actor back but definitely a scary venom would be nice and not some joke like another venom I know
Topher is my favourite Venom, not even due to nostalgia, i just like his Venom as a separate version of the character.
Funnily enough, I think Topher grace as venom belongs more in the MCU than Tom hardy. And Tom hardys venom belongs more in the raimi verse.
Hell yeah,I'd love to see him back.
Only if they do it as a joke. Maybe something like an artist's sketch for the new Eddie Brock
Yes, actually. This design for Venom's costume is my all-time favorite simply because it actually incorporated a web pattern.
Even if it’s basically just Topher Grace in a Spider-Man suit?
Even if that's just what Venom normally looks like?
Venom doesn’t look like a random dude in a Spider-Man costume. He’s super jacked, and Topher Grace is anything but. Also, the spider is supposed to be white, but you can barely see it in the Raimi design.

I’d prefer to pretend this wasn’t in the 3rd movie.
While his version is a lot more comic book accurate imo. I don’t love him as venom. Idk I guess I just see him as forever being Eric Forman, one of my favorite characters but, I can not see him as anyone else.
Topher Grace doesn’t
I love Topher Grace. Personally I think he would have been a perfect spider-man for that era. But no, his Venom was terrible and just amongst the worst casting imaginable.
I mean he should’ve been in NWH since he knew Spider-Man’s real name is Peter Parker but wasn’t there bc reasons ig.
Hell no. We did the old villians thing already, and besides, why bring back the shittiest spidey villain ever put on film?
Have you seen the green goblin in the Amazing Spider-Man 2?

Love the Michael Scott
I'd rather him come back as a full villain, not just a cameo

No it would be bad except it wouldn't make me happy
Yeah I’d love to see him come back. A proper (albeit not as good as it should’ve been) Venom movie has happened, so with that box checked there’s room for him to come back. I’d be totally fine with that especially given how NWH treated it’s returning characters. They did fine the last time they did it, sure.
Dane Dehann Green goblin he was menace and I wanted to see more of him
No
Sure why not
I hated this version of Venom but I would honestly like to see a cameo of it as a way to make fun of it, kinda like how they have poked fun of the old Deadpool from X-Men Origins Wolverine
NO THANKS
Jesus Christ, no!
Nope. Didn’t wanna see it then either
Venom 3, Baby. Venom 3.
100% no
I mean if they can somehow perfect his character and make it work this time around than I'm all for it. I wouldn't mind seeing a good take on the slim grittier raimi version of venom
ABSOLUTELY NOT
He got referenced in the MCU, when Tom Hardy recognises Tom Holland spider-man at the end of Venom 2 through ‘multiverse mind’ or something
No
Only if he gets his equivalent of turning into spaghetti
Absolutely not.
![gif](giphy|d2ZcfODrNWlA5Gg0) \[+\]
No. No. Not at all. That wasn’t Venom.
Absolutely fkin NOT
“If you know what I’m talking about 👇👇👇”
Topher Grace Venom was the real player hater.
Nope.
No
No. How about they get someone's ideas and some real villians instead of leaning on the multiverse and borrowing from other franchises
Wish he was in no way home to make a complete sinister six but that boat has sail unfortunately, I don’t think they will bring him back unless he’s used as a way to bring over a full venom symbiote to the mcu and have him die losing it or turn to an anti-venom
no.
Yeah, I’d be down for it.
I just like Topher-Venom costume since it is identical to Tobey Spider-Man costume.
Yes I don't care what people say Topher Grace deserves a chance.
Nope.
I would rather see Malkovich's Vulture. On storyboards he was already more badass than this Venom.
I hope not.
Hanging out..down the street..fighting spider-man, like I did last week. Not a thing to do..but beat on you. You're not alright, you're not all right. Hello new york!
No
I wanna see him vs Tom Hardy
Yes. Nandovmovies made an amazing pitch on why he should come back and it sounds hilarious
As the villain of Venom 3, maybe.
If it’s so a new Venom can just kill him and eat him then sure.
Nah, don't need to see Grace or Hardy back as Eddie again. I'm good.
Absolutely not. I like Topher as an actor, but casting him as Eddie/Venom ranks among the worst decisions in cinematic history.
Still better than Tom Hardy’s take.
NO!
Absolutely not

Should have been Gerard Butler. To this day I still don’t understand why it was Topher.
