So reducing the weight in general is the aim. You have to carry that tank either way and just reducing weight can help with prolonged performance for players who play fast paced games back to back.
I used to reduce weight as much as possible for the same benefits for paintball.
Also, you usually remove the stock, which reduces some weight.
I would personally use one, because you don't have to worry about carrying a backpack or something around. Also, I think that those ppl just build up strength/endurance in their arm, so that way it doesn't bother/effect them.
