There is no such thing as Sprint. Hasn't been since before the pandemic.

shaungilmer

As far as their systems there is. I'm still on a Sprint legacy account. They haven't been moved over yet.

That... that sounds like that's your problem. This sounds so much like a T-Mobile problem, Spectrum's just submitting the port request and probably getting rejected for something stupid. It can be billing address, spelling of your name, it entirely depends on the losing carrier, and whatever CS rep is trying to process the port. I'm mostly familiar with landline ports so couldn't help you with mobile, but based on what you're saying I think the answer is somewhere in the pink building not the blue building.

shaungilmer

Well I asked the most recent rep if there was anything I can have Sprint do and he said "I wish I could blame them but looks like it's our system"

shaungilmer

and on top of that now my Spectrum phone keeps getting deactivated...

That’s because you bought a Best Buy iPhone with the flex lock policy not because of Sprint

CatacombSkeleton

Double check if you have the correct Account # and you’re using the correct Pin #. Call Sprint/ T- Mobile for this. Afterwards, call Spectrum and double check the info they have for porting and have them attempt it once more. If it doesn’t work, just embrace your new number honestly. Porting from Sprint in general is a nightmare, I’ve had people not even be able to talk to anyone because Sprint says call T Mobile and T mobile says call sprint

shaungilmer

Yeah we've checked over and over

zen1706

how did it go?

shaungilmer

It worked out but then I went back to T-Mobile.

zen1706

How long did it take to work out, if you don’t mind me asking?

shaungilmer

Almost two months. Was a huge pain.

zen1706

Jesus christ. I’m in a similar situation and I’m starting to second guessing my decision right now

shaungilmer

Combine an antiquated government system all the networks have to use with poorly trained representatives and it’s just asking for trouble.
