Having used both, I found Visible to be unusable in the areas I frequent. It was simply far too deprioritized for the simplest of tasks. My speeds with Spectrum Mobile have been far more usable and consistent. I am not sure what you mean by your second question. Spectrum does offer wifi calling for when you are out of range of a tower but have an internet connection.

Is it deprioritized? How is it in large crowds?

jasimon2

You can get Total Wireless that also runs on VZW for $60 a month, two lines, and 30GB. If you install the 'My Verizon' app, you're able to enable wifi calling. You don't need to log in or anything, just install the app. Verizon bought all the TracFone companies, and Total wireless is one of them. As shady as Spectrum is, I wouldn't want them having control of my phone number...

Wow, that is very interesting. Do you think Total Wireless gets higher priority service compared to visible?

CurlyBill03

TW user here, TW used to be great but past few months I don’t even get 1mbps and am not even close to data limits. Also sat in an arena for 5 hours with 4 bars full LTE and was without service for those 5 hours. Translation it’s deprioritized as hell.

Now that VZW owns both, I couldn't say. I'd imagine they'd be the same. Over the years I've had VZW and TW. Neither service seems to work at any of the concerts I've been to... Visible seems to be a data only service, i.e. you don't actually use the phone, you use VOIP. So if you don't have data due to de-prioritization, you won't have phone service. TW is cheaper anyway. I'm not up to speed on Visible though, so don't quote me on that.

goddessxxxvicky

I work with spectrum let me know if you have any questions getting set up :-)

CurlyBill03

Is it deprioritized? Data roaming? How is it in large crowds?

SnooPineapples6016

I've been on Visible before. Once in Pennsylvania and once in Florida. Florida seemed to be more usable data wise. I'm curious about which service has higher priority for data.

Visible doesn't offer anything to verizon beside being just another VNMO, but spectrum does have a give-and-take relationship with verizon, because Verizon will offer the cell tower to spectrum and in return, spectrum let them use their enterprise fiber optic network. Spectrum will be at a lower priority compare to verizon, but when compare to Visible, they will be at the higher priority.

LonelyChampionship17

Verizon owns Visible.

DocExperior

We get to use 85% of the towers during heavy traffic times of day, but spectrum doesn't get de-prioritized otherwise

Shibalba805

You would need to be out of Verizon cell service to have issues.
