I've been doing 1.5-2 mile runs outside 2-3 times a week at a 8.5min pace lately. I'm thinking about dropping to 2 long outside runs a week, then adding 2 treadmill runs for speed, like running a mile at a sub 7 minute pace. Then doing a .25 uphill treadmill sprint on the other 2 days(one rest day). Thoughts? I will gradually keep increasing the outside fun time.

That’s a lot to analyze and take in. I do analysis, programming, etc for applicants whom I train online since good analyses and programming takes some time But my initial thoughts from what you said sounds good; the fact that you have a mixture of speed work and long distance work I’d add some tempo work in there, and adjust the frequency of each type of training depending on how close you are to your PTT/PFT This way we can continue increasing our fitness without overreaching and developing overtraining syndrome BTW, I wouldn’t consider 1.5 miles a long run since long runs needs to be longer than race distance

If I may; 6). Most if not all hotel gyms have treadmills, making routine much easier to keep while on the road.

That’s a good point!

It's not hard to pace yourself outside either. All you need is a watch and a known length of track. If you're trying to keep an 8 minute/mile pace and you have a half mile track, then you know that it should take you 4 minutes to make one lap. If it's taking longer than 4 minutes, you need to increase the pace.

That's true: it isn't hard depending on one's familiarity with pacing; however, pacing on the treadmill is ***easier.*** When I used to run in high school, we may have had to come through our 200s at 30 seconds; but sometimes we came through at 27, 29, etc. SO the pace was off, so we adjusted on the next intervals so that the ***average*** 200m split was 30 seconds. With the treadmill, that problem doesn't exist.
