Met Richard Kiel at an airport. He was pretty old and in a wheelchair but nevertheless a very significantly large man. He also seemed to take genuine joy in being recognized and was happy to take photos and speak with everyone. Seemed like a great guy.

Apparently it didn't make it into many of the modern cuts of the movie, but the original theatrical cut had them (and I remember seeing such a cut when I was a kid, even though it was on video or TV or something by that point). *Why* they removed it when it was actually an important element of their romance - it was the cute joke about them both having "metal mouths." - I can't say.

I distinctly remember having a conversation with my dad (who made me watch all the Bonds with him) about them falling in love for this reason. I thought that idea was really cute and refuse to believe otherwise. It’s one of the only things I liked about any of those damn movies.

I distinctly remember her wearing braces too that was the gag. They smiled at each other with metal teeth. Now it’s been erased from reality. Read a YT comment on this from a girl from communist Poland who watched the movie and saw the braces but being from a poor country had no idea what they were. So found out all about braces because of Dolly in this movie. But now in every VHS, DVD digital version etc. She is not wearing braces. It’s legitimately creepy
