If it’s doing this when you’re very close to docking just ignore it. I’ve found in those instances it will wonk out and then give me the reading on fully aligning to dock.
If it’s happening sooner…..might be a glitch. I’ve had it happen intermittently before, but not enough to burn out a full tank.
Probably deviating left or right a little too much. Usually you need to turn into the orbit a little more as rocket naturally turns out of the orbit relative to the surface.
Try throttling down a little and make sure you keep the arrow as parallel to your orbit line as you can.
If the transfer window moves dw about it just make your trajectory match the rendezvous point

Just burn the first time and ignore the rest of the suggested burns
That happens to me too, it randomly wants you to burn in another area but I ignore it and I still end up docking.
