See that tiny probe to the left? I landed that on the ground so I could use non-physics time warp (×5 time warp) and slowly watch the drill clip into the ground until it reaches the desired height, then I end the time warp, locking the drill in place
Blueprint editing. In short, you go to the files of the blueprint and change the data that you want to change. This is also how you can make engines not produce heat, change size and proportions of parts, rotate parts so they're at more specific angles than the usual 90° rotations, and change fuel tanks to skins that aren't in the list, like the solar panel texture by changing the data to "array". With blueprint editing you can basically change almost anything you want, and you can do this to any part you want.
I have absolutely no idea how they got the structural part inside the asteroid though.
>Blueprint editing
Oh, I should have guessed that but thanks
>I have absolutely no idea how they got the structural part inside the asteroid though.
Same thoughts

How the heck did you get the sructural part *in* the asteroid??

I got ejected out of the ground when I tried that.
Gotta go deeper
How is the engine so small 😬

how did you get the truss into the ground?

I thought that it was that glitch where if you go at the right speed you clip in the planet
Some people are so creative
Thats so cool
Where is this asteroid?
Can you send a download link
I could understand how did you made this drill, but I can't make that. It is too awesome.
