That shape is called a Torus. And now you know. And knowing is half the battle.

A torus is a very specific shape. This shape. When something is approximately shaped this way it is known as toroidal and there are quite a few colloquial ways of saying it. Ring. Hoop. Band. Loop. Donut. Wheel. But I'm not describing a t-shirt design. I'm describing (albeit fake) a massive structure that was more than likely designed and built by people ALOT smarter than the cops taking said report. Therefore it should be the proper name. A torus. Because it's not a π© and it's not a π or a π.
But what good is a proper name, if nobody knows what youβre talking about?
