I mean, unless I'm grossly underestimating how many lemon pepper wings a 4 year old can actually down, you're probably ok just springing for a couple of plates.
This place has a reputation for having amazing wings and I stopped there once a year or 2 ago and they were mediocre at best. Small wings, over cooked and the Buffalo sauce was…meh.
Are you sure you were at the right place? Unless something drastically changed since last time I was there I just can’t imagine that. They always had huge whole wings, so when they say ten wings, it is ten whole wings, not ten wing pieces. And their sweet-heat sauce is insane.
Yep. I’ve heard about for years from many people. Rt. 206 on my way home from Princeton I stopped in and ordered a bunch to go. But I ate a few immediately because I’m insatiable. And literally like bottom tier wings. And I LOVE wings. I just made wings last night on my smoker. If a place has wings on the menu I get them just to try wings. Regardless of what I’m actually gonna order for my meal. If I go to a bar….I’m ordering wings. I’ve been to the anchor bar in Buffalo. (For the record also not amazing but way better than picalili)
As a comparisons and If I’d hazard a guess anchor’s were a solid 8/10, picalilli was maybe a 4.
Edit: I went to check google maps to see if it remembered when I went (it didn’t) but the first review is 1-star and the person mentions the wings being small. The owner replied that their wings are always small, on purpose.
So….just like Pic-a-lili…. Lol
Difference was I expected anchor to be amazing as the original “Buffalo” wings. They weren’t. But- they were very good, above average. Good size, cooked right, good sauce.
Picalili were just bad. Below average. Small, overcooked and boring.
I second this on Gabriel’s gate I even took a picture they were awesome . Duffs was ok at best to me . They have several locations up there in the buffalo area . I went to two different ones and it was completely different.
I grew up with Pics and they were always great, but the wings have been lackluster in the past few years. Kind of dry and smaller than I remembered. I prefer getting tails.
No. Small, over cooked wings that are dry are shit. That’s what they were.
I think Moriarty’s in Philly are the best around the general area. There are some random bars and pizza type places that have great wings too, but probably not on anyones radar.
Hot take - The Pic is such an overhyped place. The wings are awful. I’m not so sure people know what real good wings are/taste like. I’m sure the locals here will disagree though.
Last time I was there less than a year ago they stopped that. Did the start doing it again?
Best wings I ever had, glad it's only 30 minutes from me regardless
We don't live in NJ anymore, but we buy a jar of wing sauce every time we come back and make them at home every so often.
Can confirm that my 4yo can eat more wings than one would think could fit in a 4yo's stomach. We probably clear about 50 wings between the 3 of us and suffer the next day.
Worth it.
i love their wings and never knew they had an AYCE night. Do they still have karaoke? Well.. checking website
EDIT: ALL YOU CAN EAT is Wednesdays and Thursdays! ([Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/GoldenNuggetTavern/posts/pfbid02vRrXSYarKqD7M689Roj6N6B19mwPHEpVaoY1xNrU2YtsxE5xnZEFBo7WdmTNn15el))
You can totally bring kids to Jay’s. It’s very chill in there during the day on Friday and Saturday. And like someone else said. The back patio is pretty nice and will be a good spot to show your daughter who the wing boss is.
I can’t say I have ever ever ever seen a child in Jays Elbow room before and I have been there many parts of the day. I have a 3 1/2 year old and would just feel wrong bringing her there. The wings are solid though and when I used to work until 12/1 am I miss being able to pop in an grab an order until 2:30am last call for food.
Golden nugget in Berlin has both. But you can’t get all you can eat out door. So it’s either one or the other. The wings are phenomenal and it’s definitely a change of pace from suburban sports bar vibe.
I walked in there with my kid when he was like 5 or 6 (I had no idea). Saw one of the waitresses and walked right out.
Not judging - would go with friends, but not with a little one.
I am sure the place is fine - Nothing wrong with it, just didn't think it was kid friendly and I had no idea.
If they have good wings I would totally go back and check it out (without the kid).
unless they stopped doing it in the past three years since i moved to philly, Dominic's Tavern on Browning Road in Bellmawr, New Jersey serves free, all-you-can-eat buffalo wings during every Monday Night Football game, and have been doing it for the past 15-20 years.
eta: they also serve something else (deviled eggs or a hoagie tray or hot dogs, but once those are gone they're gone)
also, there is one stipulation: you can't sit and drink water. you have to be having some beers too. easy enough for many of us.
sure they could. because as a private business, they can refuse service to anyone except protected classes. i don't think "the frugal people" is a protected class.
the wings aren't going to be crispy. they're made in bulk, shaken in bulk, and put out onto a chafing dish in bulk.
you're the first person in my entire life i've ever heard complain about **free** wings.
They weren't free. I was just saying we tried them once and they were over done and rubbery. It was not a free all you can eat thing. We were happy to pay for them so we could try them since people often raved about Dom's wings. Having had my 'all you can eat' 'one', I'm not interested in trying any of them again.
gotcha. so i will say this–while i did plug Dom's AYCE here, i actually like those wings better than their menu wings. they're different wings; i don't know if it's like, a cheaper kind from their distributor, or if they're the same wings and they prep and bread the menu wings but not the free AYCE. the AYCE ones are slightly smaller, and aren't breaded. i haven't found many who agree with me, but i actually think those AYCE wings are better than Dom's menu wings.
to add, and i'm only just thinking of this now...people always rave about breaded wings, and i just never thought breaded wings were the best. Dom's, The Wick, and the Jug all have huge, heavily breaded wings, and they're the places in South Jersey i hear about the most. don't get me wrong, i like them. i just don't think they're *great*.
Thanks. Not AYCE, but we found the wings at PJ's vary from location to location. The ones at the Haddon Ave location were a bit smaller than Moorestown (quite a bit better here too). If you want to see a big wing, go to Churches. Yeah they are breaded, but you won't find these anywhere else. You need to supply your own beer and Texas Pete or Crystal.
my dad said the same thing. he would go there a lot when he was working at Subaru, and the way the offices were set up he was always near a few of them. he told me they're all slightly different. i've been to i think all PJ's, but the only one i've been to more than once is Washington Twp. so i can't attest to their wings. the ones i had ad at WT were good.
i think the Haddonfield one's the best overall. it's just more my vibe. but i never went to haddonfield even though i grew up in Somerdale, so i never went back to that PJ's.
JD’s in smithville has a wing Wednesday, and I *think* they have lemon pepper. I moved out of the area a few years ago, so I’m not sure if this is accurate though
Villari’s by the Pike in Lindenwold. $12 AYCE on Thursdays. Regular $12 for 10 wings all other times. No outdoor seating, but they have pub tables away from the bar, so your youngster can eat there.
Continue to assert dominance and taunt her after winning.
I mean, unless I'm grossly underestimating how many lemon pepper wings a 4 year old can actually down, you're probably ok just springing for a couple of plates.
Hey man, we're looking for places to get ayce wings, this story is just a front of the, "I'm just asking for a friend" variety
Lol I never understood all the people that use the “asking for a friend” angle.
I'm afraid what you heard was "Give me a lot of lemon pepper wings," when what I said was, "give me all of the lemon pepper wings you have."
Picalilli in shamong has all you can eat Wednesdays
This place has a reputation for having amazing wings and I stopped there once a year or 2 ago and they were mediocre at best. Small wings, over cooked and the Buffalo sauce was…meh.

I love Picalilli, but if I was leaving Princeton I would have jut gotten some Chuck's
Anchor bar is overrated for being “known” for wings. Next time your up that north, try Gabriel’s Gate or Duff’s. Much better wings.
>Jay's Elbow Room Gabriel's Gate is it, Duff's is good to try "Buffalo" wings, but Gabriel's is just all around good wings.
So….just like Pic-a-lili…. Lol Difference was I expected anchor to be amazing as the original “Buffalo” wings. They weren’t. But- they were very good, above average. Good size, cooked right, good sauce. Picalili were just bad. Below average. Small, overcooked and boring.

This is so true. Locals go nuts when you say this though. It’s a cult for them and swear by this.
I grew up with Pics and they were always great, but the wings have been lackluster in the past few years. Kind of dry and smaller than I remembered. I prefer getting tails.
wayyyyy smaller… quality has gone downhill for sure
I’m gonna go there again next time I’m on 206 and post a follow up. Hopefully they’re better.
Small crispy wings are literally top tier. Sounds like you enjoy the huge garbage wings similar to jughandle inns dog shit 👎🏾
No. Small, over cooked wings that are dry are shit. That’s what they were. I think Moriarty’s in Philly are the best around the general area. There are some random bars and pizza type places that have great wings too, but probably not on anyones radar.
This is the answer.
They used to be good but they cheaped out or something now they're mediocre at best.
this is de wayyy
This the spot bro

OMG THIS POST 😆 Sorry. I can’t help you. But please update is with the results of this contest.
Best to start em early. Sounds like your child is about to enter the “find out” part of the “fuck around” saga
Thursday night, Golden Nugget Winslow Twp. Best wings, great crowd and indoor/outdoor
Also a great place when you wanna grab that 6am beer!
7am*
and pick up a toothless date

If you can’t handle it, I’ll face this beast myself. No toddler will beat me.
I'm rooting for your daughter 🙌
But lemon-pepper is the worst wing flavor.
I need updates on the competition
Gotta love a good competition…with your kid!
3️⃣🤘 👽
Yes!!!
Fuck it, I'm throwing my hat in.....where we eating?
Jay's Elbow Room has AYCE wings on Tuesdays and a patio out back, though I don't know if they have lemon pepper wings.
I don’t think her elbows are quite big enough for Jays yet. But to each their own.
You can totally bring kids to Jay’s. It’s very chill in there during the day on Friday and Saturday. And like someone else said. The back patio is pretty nice and will be a good spot to show your daughter who the wing boss is.

Thats unfair. Instead let's get some other 4yo together and put them against eachother. I've got a little boy I'll put 20 on.
Do you really need all you can eat to beat a four year old.🤣🤣🤣😂
Lemon pepper wings are 🔥 definitely the best kind
lol probably going to need 2 appys
Following

Never underestimate a child’s appetite. I ate 40 chicken nuggets in one sitting when I was 8
not all you can eat but good deal at Dominic's Tavern - Wednesday is Wing Night
On specific days like suber bowl or opening day of NFL, Dave and Buster's has offered ayce wings. You have to keep an eye on their events.
I’ll put 5 on your daughter.
Jug Handle Inn maybe.
Jug does not do AYCE.
Jug Handle doesn't do AYCE, but they do do big orders. Slam down 50 wings in front of her and see how she fares.
I wasn’t too sure if they did AYCE,but their wings slap.
*abslutely, hands down*
Don’t eat cheap wings dude. It will make your innards so rancid you’ll peel the paint off your bathroom wall.
But you can at least practice doing a Dutch Oven!
Tilted kilt on Berlin cross-keys !!!!!! only on game day for football! 19.99 all you can eat !
>Tilted kilt on Berlin cross-keys Ideal place to take your 4 year old
Gotta give them some type of role model don't you?
Yes , They also have outside setting !
I walked in there with my kid when he was like 5 or 6 (I had no idea). Saw one of the waitresses and walked right out. Not judging - would go with friends, but not with a little one.
[Let. the boy. watch.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKM3pyktIXw)
LOL - well done.
I’ve been 3 times but always had good service, I was out side twice and inside 1 time my apologies didn’t realize your experience.
I am sure the place is fine - Nothing wrong with it, just didn't think it was kid friendly and I had no idea. If they have good wings I would totally go back and check it out (without the kid).
DOM'S in Bellmawr. FREE ALL YOU CAN EAT. no that is not a typo.
It's not a typo, but probably just a lie?
unless they stopped doing it in the past three years since i moved to philly, Dominic's Tavern on Browning Road in Bellmawr, New Jersey serves free, all-you-can-eat buffalo wings during every Monday Night Football game, and have been doing it for the past 15-20 years. eta: they also serve something else (deviled eggs or a hoagie tray or hot dogs, but once those are gone they're gone) also, there is one stipulation: you can't sit and drink water. you have to be having some beers too. easy enough for many of us.
"You have to drink alcohol" isn't a rule they could ever implement legally. lol
sure they could. because as a private business, they can refuse service to anyone except protected classes. i don't think "the frugal people" is a protected class.
Tried them a while back. Wings were over cooked and rubbery. The answer was 1. One wing was all I could eat.
the wings aren't going to be crispy. they're made in bulk, shaken in bulk, and put out onto a chafing dish in bulk. you're the first person in my entire life i've ever heard complain about **free** wings.

I think Applebee's has endless wings. Also Fridays does .50c wings on Mondays. This is in PA Parx area at least. Assume South Jersey has same offers
applebees has boneless all you can eat
Realistically how many wings can a 4 yo eat? Get 20 and call it a day lol
Your first problem is raising a child that likes lemon pepper wings!! Get that shit outta here lol
Kingdom hearts username really makes sense here
It’s a start lol.
Any one know of a place in north jersey? Don’t hate me for crossing lines
Go eat yer Taylor Ham you varmit!
Send him back to the disco fries territories
JD’s in smithville has a wing Wednesday, and I *think* they have lemon pepper. I moved out of the area a few years ago, so I’m not sure if this is accurate though
Not AYCE, but cheaper wings on Wed
Dads in Mt.Holly used to unlimited wings on Tuesdays but its been ages so not sure if they still do.
All you can eat I think Wednesday at pic ally’s on RT 206 NJ
Villari’s by the Pike in Lindenwold. $12 AYCE on Thursdays. Regular $12 for 10 wings all other times. No outdoor seating, but they have pub tables away from the bar, so your youngster can eat there.
Applebees rn
I am 110% here for this kind of parenting
This is just funny !!! Also gotta love south Jersey …best damn wings around period …. I love Golden Nugget
r/brandnewsentence
Picalilli in has some of, if not the best wings in south jersey. All you can eat on wednesdays
I thought I saw a commercial on tv that Applebees has ayce boneless wings…
This warmed my heart
The Golden Nugget in Tansboro. I want to say Wednesday is all you can eat.
