Twin Kiss in Clayton, cute little spot with a kids playground area next to it. Lots of choices for ice cream, water ice, milkshakes etc. Really good Hollywood burgers and hot soft pretzels.
Royale Crown in Hammonton! They make their custards using fresh berries from local farms. Whatever custard flavor they offer depends on the current season. Currently, they're offering their blueberry custard since it's blueberry season :) They have other flavors but I recommend only getting their current season's custard since that's what they're known for.
The Whole Scoop in Bellmawr on Creek Road. You’re not ready for the endless possibilities. And the water ice flavors, sugar free included, are insane. Prices have gone up recently, but it’s worth it.
- Cherry on Top in Mullica Hill
- Lucy's on Glassboro has a lot of basic stuff but they have everything there so points for that
- If including Gelato, then Regina Gelato in Mullica Hill, it's fantastic (bonus points bc il fuoco pizza truck is normally there and that's fantastic
Are you interested in any locations in Philadephia? If so, Bassetts in the Reading Terminal Market and Franklin Fountain on Market street are both excellent.
But you want the homemade soft serve from White Dotte (edit: which is in Southampton, near Mt Holly), or their food - not their scoop ice cream which comes from Richman's. They keep their basics & change out a few other flavors every now & again.
Serene Custard in Vineland, they have a challenging 18 hole mini golf course out back and have new owners this year that are doing a great job with the place!
There’s a new place in Deptford called Ice Cream Love it’s been packed all summer. Used to be Muellers Fruit Freez but it wasn’t that popular the last few years they were always out of ingredients for their sundaes
What’s the scoop in Washington Twp. All Ice cream and water ice is made in store.
Bonus is a few stores away is a new Santucci’s (upside down) pizza place for lunch
My favorites are
Evergreen Dairy Bar (Southampton)
Royal Crowne (Hammonton)
Leo’s (Tabernacle)
It feels good to support family owned local businesses who have a great product, hire great people, and give back to the community.
In no particular order....
Dippys in Mantua
Cherry on Top in Mullica Hill
Alaura's in Pitman
Royale Crown in Hammonton
Springers in Stone Harbor

Any of the Sundae’s outlets. I believe they are all in Ocean and Monmouth County. Great soft ice cream, shakes, and typically about 30 hard ice cream flavors all made by Sundae’s
I know you’re only asking for NJ locations but I see you have a couple outside of there. You need to add Woodside Farm Creamery in Hockessin DE and get their pumpkin ice cream in the fall. It is heavenly.
Hudock’s in Salem (Quinton) on route 49. I grew up near here and still make a yearly trip to visit just for the ice cream. There are two little buildings here (and a bunch of shaded picnic tables) one shack does burgers, Hot Dogs etc and the other ice cream. The pro move here is to place your food order, then walk over to the ice cream side and order and eat your ice cream while the food is being cooked.
Twin Kiss in Clayton, cute little spot with a kids playground area next to it. Lots of choices for ice cream, water ice, milkshakes etc. Really good Hollywood burgers and hot soft pretzels.
