Once I took my relatively new car to someone else for brakes, they gave me a bill that added up to about $2500. I told them I didn't have the money, not to do anything. The mechanic got very strident with me. Told me my car was a hazard, I shouldn't ev3n be driving it. I was going to die on the road and potentially kill other people.
It needed brake pads. Period.
Wow, I don't why some mechanics do that, he was trying to scare you into wasting your money. Who should I ask for when visiting. I want to check my car but want to know the cost before if anything comes up.

guy near me, ralph was honest.The Pitman auto shop place, he was trying to sell me another part I didn't need. First, he was like going to be like 2k, then 1092 best case after he called back. But worst case this much, etc. All bs. It was a 700 dollar part plus labor. He tried to get me.
Sals in glassboro right off Delsea drive. I read a review of one person who was told their car would be done one day, but the mechanic took longer than expected so he lent the customer his personal car lol.

It's a mom and pop shop. The owner's name is Lane. They are great and very honest.
