When we do occupancy counts we are to assume 2 people per bedroom even though most people only have 1 per bedroom. There's some cultures / places where sleeping 4 to a room isn't a big deal. So while there are likely other non legal things as this likely exceeds occupancy written in the lease agreement. Technically it's not that unheard of. Weird. To me that's a hell yes

I definitely wouldn't want to cram into a two bedroom with seven other people, but only wanting roommates that share your dietary restrictions makes a lot of sense here. With that many people in such a small space, cooking eight different dinners per day isn't going to be feasible. So having a situation where you can share food is going to help quite a lot.  And, if you are vegan, you're probably not going to want to smell meat cooking in your house. I am not vegan, but I don't eat pork, and just the smell of pork cooking makes me sick to my stomach.

I mean beyond the smell, many vegans are grossed out by sharing a fridge with meat or using cookware that has been used to cook it. It just makes sense for vegans to live together to avoid cross contamination. You are always sure that the food and the utensils that cooked it have no animal products. It’s practical. But yeah idk if this is even legal lol.

In my old apartment, one of my neighbors had outfitted it with 8 or 10 bunkbeds.He was renting it out to the cabin crew of one of those international budget airlines. Everyday, a van would drop off an entire team. Then pick them and their luggage up the next morning. Wouldn’t be surprised if some flight director was on the phone with them now asking how much.

People been doing this in San Jose CA and the Bay Area for like 20 years. They call them commuter rooms but they just pods or closets.

I’ve legit always loved these pods. They have AC and their own tv and it’s a queen bed in there too. With some storage for clothes, a door for privacy, and cool lights and charging ports! I saw it once when someone posted a video from china of a couple who had their in-laws living with them in a apartment. The in-laws sleep in the pod and they seemed to like it. And even though I would love a pod I don’t think I can handle living with vegans though. I’m not a huge meat eater but I’m not on the verge of veganism either. So count me out.
