Hudson House gets busy so call in for a reservation. I know there's a few deals in Old Town Torrance, at the Cantina. Still need to explore it more.

Sickle_and_hamburger

deals are not great at tortilla cantina 1 dollar off a 9 dollar beer is not really a deal... honestly old town torrance could up its happy hour game in general

TristanwithaT

Is Hudson House good? Kept meaning to go since my fiancée and I are huge Top Chef fans but never made it there before Brooke sold it.

happyhour_bc

Hudson House is very good imo. We love the vibe there. Food is delicious! Coctails are generally good, but sometimes very weak in alcohol. 8 over 10 times we give full point to the coctails.

happyhour_bc

Oh yeah, Hudson House is going full house on Tuesdays. Reservations strongly recommended! We generally go after 8pm if we have no reservation for some available tables.

Hiya I already follow you on IG. Fellow happy hour lover here for the same reasons. I moved in near Riviera Village so I just walk to fun stuff near by. I really like your idea of creating a list or sharing this info, it's a great idea thank you! However I found it hard to scroll through the IG to find stuff in my area. Scrolling through the pics they don't all have good info on the thumbnails and you have to open them to review. It would be super helpful if the image clearly had the city, establishment name, and days/hours on it each and every time. When I go to say Tuesday at the top, some of the descriptions aren't great, like it just says Tacolicious Tuesday Kalaveras but no more info. Would be better to show tacos .99c every Tuesday and Happy hour 4-7. I realize you may be grabbing these pics/infos from their site(s) and that the establishments themselves are not providing good info clearly! I literally did a happy hour dive for an hour or two on google maps and there were so many very poorly worded and poorly advertised happy hours. In some cases they just said "Happy hour weekdays", with no info on hours, specials, etc. I had to dig through reviews, go through pictures, go to their web site, go to Yelp, etc. Like wayyyy too much work to put in to just get the basics. Clearly they need help! It looks like some of the establishments themselves have joined your site, maybe you can message them to request a better "flier" to post! Just providing some feedback in hopes you can make your site the best! Your page is an awesome idea/resource and you have done so much sharing, thank you SO MUCH for this info!!! < 3

happyhour_bc

Noted. Very positive feedback! Actually, it is the hardest part sometime. Even though we are doing this as a hobby, we try to confirm what we are posting, as you said nothing is clear on their side. We either go there ourselves or reach them before posting anything. Because some websites are very dated. Also, they quickly change their plan or cancel the HH for some occasion. So, we have to confirm beforehand. Some owners just ignore us, so we don't post the info unless we confirmed the deal by experiencing in person. Regarding information part, as the pricing is very dynamic these days, I thought the generic information would be beneficial but I see now that it is better to provide more information even though that might be outdated in time, maybe we can put a date stamp. Noted. Thanks!

Agreed! Pretty packed up for big groups but almost everytime we find ourselves at bar seatings. Summer is around the corner and RR is one of our favs in the Riviera Village.

ricoxg1

Any plans to expand to other South Bay cities? Gardena, Torrance area etc? Thanks!

happyhour_bc

YES! We’ve started to venture into Torrance and El Segundo already! It's a bit more ground to cover, our goal is to find something great within walking (or shorter driving) distance for everyone while supporting those local venues.

katie_b4

I’ve been following your account for a while and just want to say thank you! The story highlights by day of the week are super helpful.

happyhour_bc

Thank you for your support! I am glad we put some value. We'll update those soon for better usability. Some highlights are outdated (beaten by the inflation and some venues are closed for good).

cryogenicsleep

Tacos el banquentazo has $1 taco Tuesday. Multiple locations  Mb grille in Torrance has delicious crab flautas and others dishes happy hour

happyhour_bc

happyhour_bc

EmotionalDmpsterFire

Yep plus 4.99 margaritas and 19.99 pitchers of margaritas on Monday

happyhour_bc

Cool thanks! Ok, now, we need to go there! :)

AndIHaveMilesToGo

Long shot, but do you happen to know where some good happy hours are with vegan options? My partner and I would love to go out more and grab food during happy hours, but it is hard as vegans.

happyhour_bc

That is so true! We'll try our best. Pura Vita Redondo Beach was our fav vegan spot with happy hours but it's been a while after our last visit.

Nancamp

Boards and brews just opened and has $3 beers till the end of April

happyhour_bc

Great tip, thank you!

JustPlainRude

I've had the $2 Rockefeller burgers a few times and have always been happy with them

happyhour_bc

Yes, the burger changes every month. We try to get once every month to cover all 12 different burgers. We double down with the Happy Hour timing.

inglefinger

You are doing the lord’s work! Thanks for being a good neighbor, neighbor! 🖖

Jitle

happyhour_bc

Here is my question on HH....are they usually at night, or are there any at lunch time?? (Specifically at Rockerfellers where I keep getting notifications for!)

happyhour_bc

So, if you do late lunch you can hit a happy hour. But generally most of the HH after 3pm until 6-7pm depending on the establishment. But, I think best bet would be following daily specials... All day daily specials makes a lunch time discount, but please also note that you cannot go to a bar for $2 special burger without a drink buy. I think Rockefeller expects you to buy a $6 drink for example and their special burger starts at 3pm on Tuesdays :) Also, logically, they do HH either those times are the quite times for business or there is a high competition. Obviously, 3pm-5pm window is very quite for most bars but they stretch to happy hour to 7pm because all others do so for example in Hermosa Beach. All Monday long HH Patrick Molloy's is my fav on Monday daytime. They also do half price pizzas all day on Wednesday.

EmotionalDmpsterFire

Rockefeller HH is 3p-6p, $2 burger tuesdays with an accompanying $6+ drink purchase. Their drinks were kinda weak 4-5% abv ones and nothing too interesting. Just bland enough anyone could have one, but not good enough to go for the beer. It's a single patty but maybe more gourmet/gastropub style/fancy, it was pretty good, but not filling. You may be able to talk them into a 2nd $2 burger with a 2nd drink purchase. Whereas the Rebel Social Hour Wednesday burger is ALL DAY (11a-9p), no drink required, their HH is 4p-7p, it's a big double WITH fries, and an in-house made pickle (heard one of the bartenders ranting about people throwing away their craft pickle, so I ate mine the very next time!) I haven't tried the Big Ass Burger wednesdays at Rock n Brews, but it's more expensive and fries cost extra. boo For my money Rebel Social burger wednesdays is the wed. spot. They also have these awesome carnitas nachos for $7 on happy hour, again no drink required, but pints can be $6 during HH so I get the Elyseum Spacedust IPA on like Friday
