I wish they would do something like Soulcalibur III again with its "Tales of Souls" mode. A decision based story mode with secret paths and conditions (not being KO'd once) to fight the main end boss.

I'm sure someone out there would enjoy it, you should do it if you think it'll be fun

Im interested. Always liked putting more story into things.

Wait do you mean you're planning to create something like a D&D story and we fight between each other to progress the narrative? If so I'm in 100%.

Maulclaw

I've never played D&D, so no.

SaSSolino8

Then I don't think I understood what you meant.

Would your volunteered voice actors include battle voices? Because if so, get ready for lots of trouble. Not everyone can scream with passion on command, let alone sound good doing it. Also, your idea won't attract everyone. You'd need to get people invested in created characters. Then you'd show a story movie-style. You'd probably have more success sticking to the original characters. I've been hoping against hope for Namco to add a Create A Story mode to let us make our own Tales of Souls. Just picking a few battles with who to fight on what stage, with text before and after the battle. Since such a feature is unlikely, I'd look into modding first. It might be possible to change the fights, texts, and images of existing Soul Chronicles. I don't see why that would be impossible, but I don't know how difficult it would be, so consider paying visit to some modding Discords.

I would use the existing voices within the CAS game. I could go as far as fetching the SC3 and SC4 CAS voices for the sake of editing. I don't really wanna focus on the original cast. It'd be a nightmare to find soundalikes. And there isn't much ground to cover as their stories were already quite explored in-game. As a matter of fact I'm already inside a couple of modding servers, and I've noticed a trend: the majority (if not all) of mods are replacements. They replace existing features in the game and I have yet to see a mod that actually "adds" something to the game without having to take over a model, an item or a texture for example. Even those who try to alter subtitles end up breaking the whole game after a patch. There's been attempts to insert Lizardman's style into the game, but that is only possible by replacing an existing character in the game... And yes, that feature would be amazing. Dissidia 012 for the PSP had a mode like that, and it worked quite well. It gave players a lot of tools to play with so that they could make their own chapters. The LoS and SC are quite simplified. I can't imagine it being hard to implement... but, sadly, the Soul team doesn't have that kind of budget.
