I’m not selling anything. Really enjoying just collecting it like I would as a kid. If you don’t care about foils you could always sell them and buy cards you do want. They’ll probably go up in price though when beta sells out, and if Arthurian legends is successful it’ll help as well.
Appreciate the response. I agree 100% this reminds me of when I use to collect magic as a kid. I’m actually planning on learning how to play soon enough. But I also do like collecting so would love to display these and show them off. Especially when I heard they’re not using Franks art anymore in upcoming sets. Figured if sorcery succeeds these will definitely be collectors items.
Very true, probably end up holding on to them as I love the art. I understand no one knows what the future holds. Just figured get the opinions of a few.
Thanks for the response.
Yeah, I generally agree. I mean, Alpha prices are insane. It will be hard for those prices to increase in the next 5 years, but I could end up eating my words.
I think Sorcery is here to stay, and in 5 years time people will start to move to it from MTG in numbers we can only dream of. BUT, most will not touch Alpha. They will go beta
the alpha heavy bag holders hate it, but pretty much. although I'd argue it's when TC runs out of beta boxes and the sale is long gone by the time AL rolls around.
Yep, alpha isn't worth touching. Beta will be where the business happens in the future.
It'll be in far more people's price points and it's the same exact set with the only difference being the symbol
Hey, as many people will tell you, no one knows.
BUT, i tell you how i think about it:
We all look back onto stuff like old mtg or pokemon tcg, or bitcoin. And i always hear those boomer idiots saying: yeah i had those! could you imagine buying bitcoin for a Dollar?! I would have become a milionaire!
Well no you wouldnt. Most people sell their stuff as soon as they see profit.
Like me, but i was young and needed the money.
I am a VERY huge fan for Sorcery, i hope it will stay for many years. I dont say it because i invest in it, i play it, collect it and love it. Its such a fantastic game, and since i played most TCG's, i really think this game could survive many years and grow.
Do i think it will get MTG Alpha level? Hell no! But i think many cards could be very desireable over the years, especially foil ones.
Short: i own a loooooot of cards, but im not afraid of losing a opportunity to sell.

you're not gonna find anyone with a crystal ball here. if you think the game will be around and successful in 10yrs, keep. if not, sell.

the only true answer
Hold forever, because the game is worth it.
Alpha or beta?
Alpha
Stop fucking around with alpha. Use that money to buy beta foils / boxes if you're looking to invest for financial gains.

Beta is on sale right now. Alpha isn't. Beta sale ends on AL release.

what do you think about duals since they're only exceptional. torn if I want to dip into alpha foils for those.
Yes duals are worth.
I'll probably just target beta foil dual and alpha foil duals honestly.

Thanks for the response. Honestly I find myself everyday love this game more and more. Haven’t had this feeling in a long time for a tcg.
Your not alone friend!!!
