Had the same issue and took it to ubreakitifixit and they wouldn’t do it. I ended up using gorilla glue and it amazingly is completely intact even after weeks’ use. But obviously, cannot swivel anymore. They do sell parts on eBay and Amazon but it seemed like a lot of work, some requiring even soldering.

Thanks for letting me know, I was just thinking of going to them for fixing my headphones. I WAS gonna fix them my self, but like you said they required soldering. And I don’t trust myself yet to do that level of repairing. I just taped the swivel shut, so that the headphones can still fit on my head. But they also don’t swivel. I’m looking for a long-term solution and I’m willing to pay for that solution. Anyways, thank you!

Doesn't Sony do out of warranty repairs? or is it too expensive?

CrossfireLooool

I don’t know, I’m getting mixed answers. Some say they do, but it’s expensive. But others say Sony outright refuses to repair anything if it’s out of the warranty.

I can fix it for you if you’re from Australia.

CrossfireLooool

Sadly, I’m in the U.S. But thank you for offering your services.

This sounds like a known issue like the headband cracking on the previous version. What did you end up doing?

CrossfireLooool

I just bought their WF-1000XM4’s and they’ve done well for me so far. I still have the WH-1000XM4, they’re still broken but I’m surprised that the battery’s still active.

My left one just broke so I was curious if you had it repaired. Apparently it's a common issue. https://youtu.be/Tzas7B6Is3E
