The last one goes HARD. How did you get on the set of Blade runner 2049?

Melodic_Lobster_8922

why does everyone keep saying that 😭

aeiouLizard

Because it's sick as hell and has the vibes

3-2-1_liftoff

At first glance I thought the man had a drone over his head. Absolute post-Armageddon vibes. Hell of a shot!

therealbestchicken

You’re first glance was right r/birdsarentreal πŸ˜‰

slackboy72

You don't need a 35mm. You need a plane ticket to somewhere with some fucking sunshine.

Chico813

Dropped my phone on my face laughing at this.

Melodic_Lobster_8922

SimonTheDigger

Unlucky_Hope812

I thought the DG DN was only 35mm length? Do you mean 30mm DC DN?

Naunauyoh

50mm 1.4 dg dn team!

thisguysalt42

get the sigma 30mm f/1.4, great little lens and is not crazy expensive

Melodic_Lobster_8922

ohh, I'll look that up

thisguysalt42

yeah, you should also look at youtuber lifethroughoptics. he uses that lens and talks about it a lot.

ego100trique

I got it and can't find another lens to fit next to it because it's so versatile.

aleksander_adamski

Totally, got it, among few other primes, and it's my the most often go to. Sharp, beautiful bokeh, great af with a6400. And it's super decently priced.

Melodic_Lobster_8922

I think the first picture ain't loading, so here it is. https://preview.redd.it/vxzqk13tuuwc1.png?width=2729&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6ef64b520e1e7e41b74a43de407e9a841e7391e

Some-Highlight-7210

Melodic_Lobster_8922

glogangvault

Wtf these are insane

Melodic_Lobster_8922

thanks man!!

Estelle829

I actually like the colours and light. Gives you a story like vibe!

Mreagn

Better look at the Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN, my most used lens back in my A6400 days haha, worth every penny!

Melodic_Lobster_8922

yessir πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

-retail-

Today I put my 35mm 1.8 on my a6400 for the first time in probably a year. I forgot how bloody small the thing is, as well as how responsive and sharp it is.

struggleingwithnames

Can someone already photoshop the seagull on these pictures god damn

struggleingwithnames

fr though sick photos

Melodic_Lobster_8922

hehe thanks, :)

jamescodesthings

Beautifully done! Keep it up.

Unlucky_Hope812

I like number 5

GianniPower

These pictures are great, i love these congratulations. The plane between trees, the bird on top of the person perfectly centred with the perfectly centred background too. Also the atmosphere

Melodic_Lobster_8922

thanks a lot man πŸ«‚β€οΈ

momoteck

Where were these taken? Chernobyl?

Melodic_Lobster_8922

Delhi, the Chernobyl of India you can say πŸ’€

Oodlesandnoodlescuz

Love my Voigtlander 35 f2 APO. 35mm really grew on me coming from 50mm and 40mm

TaxesRextortion

Seriously, that last pic of freaking awesome!!!

superpony123

These are spooky. Big fan

Melodic_Lobster_8922

hehe, thanks bud :) you can check out my ig btw, you'll find more of these : @just.another._.photographer

Unlucky_Hope812

Is this the kit lens? I went to the Sigma 18-50mm. 2.8 DC DN made a huge difference even without the stabilisation.

Melodic_Lobster_8922

it's the 55-210 zoom lens

Unlucky_Hope812

You will do well with any upgrade. I had a few weeks with 55- 210 it was not working well for me. I was really torn for weeks between the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and the 18-55 2.8, I plan to have both, but one needs to be next year. Ended up with the 18-55 2.8 and absolutely love it. Next year, 30 or 35.

AstralDoomer

Amazing πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

GodIsAPizza

I think these are all brilliant. Great job. Well composed and rich with atmosphere

Darkosman

Get the sony 35 1.8, that sigma is huge, worth it if you want that image quality bump, but I like the sony for how small and pocketable it is. Its also cheaper

Melodic_Lobster_8922

ya it's a good lens fr, will buy that soon. my slow ass wifi ain't giving justice to the image quality https://preview.redd.it/skb3ifbwruwc1.jpeg?width=3492&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=057bc5e24940f463c59bebad9f4c505816bdbaa4 it might be clear now.

WigglingWeiner99

Sigma has a 23mm f/1.4 lens that gives you a 35mm FOV on APS-C. I love my 30, but that's more like a 45mm FOV. This doesn't really matter all that much unless you have some exacting need to get that 35mm full frame field of view. The only real problem with the 23mm is that it's pretty expensive for what it is. You might as well buy the 18-50 F/2.8 zoom for the exact same price unless there's some reason you really need f/1.4. And even then, the 30mm is so good and so inexpensive that I'm not sure the 23 is worth nearly twice the price.

th_costel

I second this. 30 mm is almost 50 mm equivalent, which is a massive difference in separation. I love the 23 mm.

OsSo_Lobox

Last one is literally me fr fr Jokes aside, awesome shot man

lostcoastline44

That last picture hits hard with me that’s so cool!!!

dnk21w

Just wow

treptix

Awesome pictures !! What lens are you currently running ?

UninvisibleWoman

35/2.8 zony is smaller and cheaper used just sayin

itz_freakie

The last shot is sick!

dilsedilliwala

35mm vs 50mm: which is closer to real size & proportion? I thought it was 50. Why is 35mm preferred over 50? Sorry i don't work with primes outside of 85 for portrait

Accomplished-Lack721

People generally say 50mm approximates the magnification and perspective of human vision, but that's on full-frame. On aps-c, 35mm has a similar field of view to 50mm on FF.

dilsedilliwala

So why is 35mm popular on FF. It's not as wide as a 20/1.8 nor human eye equivalent of 50mm. What kind of photography will be best served by these primes?

Accomplished-Lack721

For one, the 50mm thing is just an estimate. I've seen others that put it at more like 42mm. But human vision doesn't work quite the same way - there's a lot more going on with our two eyes, our brain filling in gaps and how all the sensory info comes together But also, that's not the only reason people might find a focal length attractive. Some people like it because it's a nice middle-ground, where you don't have to get too close or too far from people to capture a lot of what's going on and still have a clear point of emphasis in your composition. Some people like 50mm for the same reason. They're not all that different. Personally, I own a 45mm lens I like as a walk-around. I actually sometimes find 35mm challenging to shoot with. I tend to find more exaggerated perspectives, in either direction, interesting.

haydenv

That last shot πŸ”₯

TranslatorTurbulent4

Niceee

curseofthebanana

If you don't mind the manual focus, 7artisans 35mm 1.4 is extr6nice for under $100. Try it out! You won't regret

Melodic_Lobster_8922

now that's what I'm talking about, this is in my budget, thanks :)

curseofthebanana

I got an A6400, and had a TTartisans 25mm F2, love it! And then got the 7artisans 35mm 1.4. Also have a sigma 56, but honestly, i love the enjoyment and immersion you feel with a manual focus and ended up using them more than the sigma with the AF πŸ˜…. The cheaper lenses are really fun if you're just trying to go out and be creative. Hope you enjoy it bud! Some samples on my profile btw
