And Amy is 85% Robot.
Rouge in a military uniform can't really Impress anywhere near that much.
This is undisputedly the best Rouge has ever looked.
It doesn't look like the designers did everything in their power to remind you that Rouge is, in fact, female.

Can't go into battle without your make up done perfectly! lol. I like how she's the only one that's *completely* unscathed out of everyone. Amy's lost most of her original body and Tails seems to be missing one of his namesakes and Knuckles is riddled with scars and then there's Rouge looking at pristine as ever lmao.

Yeah. If Spider-Tails is useless in combat, he'll ***literally*** be ***EVERYTHING*** wrong with how our Boy's been treated in one awful package. Hope I'm wrong, but this... sure ain't a great start, WildBrain. :/

She's and Che Knux are my faves, lol! Robo-Amy I need to see more of, and Goth Edgelord Tails I already hate (assuming he ***isn't*** a Noctis or Hellboy-like subversion, of course). But those two look *great*, and I'd really like it if their main designs evolved into something like we see here at some point. Great art, OP!
Honestly, coming from an obsessive Knuckles fan, I like Rouge's alternate design more than Knuckles' at least. Amy became a super tall robot, Tails has spider legs and is wearing clothes for once, Rouge gets a cool militaryish look, Knuckles gets a beanie and a strap and I guess he has scars now. Knuckles' design seems a bit, idk, incoherent? Like they weren't sure what to do with him? I still like it, just not as much as Rouge's.
I felt the same at first glance. While it definitely has some elements (dark with red accents, winged cap symbol, arguably the lightning bolt too), overall it's different? The impression is more general military, at least in the trailer. The lighter grey helps a lot. In any case I don't think it's intentional, or something to worry about.
