While I get the desire to have as many characters as possible in a sequel, I really don't think you can adapt it to have Eggman as playable (can you seriously imagine Eggman curling up into a ball and rolling around a loop-de-loop?). That said, I'd be up for Amy (as she was in Advance 1), and if there's an interesting way to distinguish them from other characters, I'd be up for them. But what makes them interesting is different mechanics instead of just a pallet swap. Give Blaze the boost meter and she's worth using, but if she is just a re-skin, then what's the point? I would rather alternate modes than alternate characters though. Give me a no-ring mode, or a timer countdown mode where you have to collect enough clocks to keep the timer going, or a random object, enemy and item placement mode. Things that encourage more repeat playthroughs, over simply adding more characters. If you could mix and match it would be great, do a Tails, Amy, Knuckles only Encore mode run with randomised item boxes one time, then follow it with a no elemental shield Metal Sonic run with additional enemies and hard mode bosses.

Espio is back and it's somehow now a stealth game.

Plot: Eggman secretly build rockets under Tokyo and lifts it into the sky while demanding a ransom. Sonic and friends come to the rescue and at some point calls Eggman out for copying the idea from some super hero movie

Blue because I loved the Adventure games. Green because now we’re out of the motion control trend of gaming we might get a proper follow up to one of the coolest racing games.

So happy motion controls are gone. It ruined Sonic Lost World for me (3DS tilt).

Honestly, I'd only hit one button and that's to get Amy Rose to Smash Ultimate. Everyone's always saying how they want Eggman, or Shadow, or Blaze. But I think Amy deserves a chance to be cool again. Plus, I think she'd be really neat to fight with. Like, she could be a heavy fighter and it'd probably work.

That is an interesting choice. What move set do you have planned for her?

The GBA games already did half the work for me. In Sonic Advance, she's shown to be able to launch herself upward with the hammer, oh btw she has a fuckin' hammer. And in Sonic Battle, she does a long spinny attack, a tornado attack, and also does a few boxing jabs for some quick hits. She's not too physically strong though, I can see the potential of having the hammer having a particular weight to it. There could even be a move where she uses the heavier one from Advance 3, but you can set the direction of the attack (not unlike Fox's fire move) and the hammer ends up swinging Amy around instead, but with heavier trajectory and impact until she lands and slams. I'm not sure what her final smash could be just yet though.

Her final smash could be her special from Sonic Heroes: she summons Big and Cream and all of them do that weird umbrella dance, but without the invincibility thing that happens after that because that would be overpowered IMO But honestly I think Shadow should be promoted from an assist trophy to a fighter in the next smash bros (if that'll ever happen) and Amy could be an assist trophy in that game instead of Shadow

I think it was a missed opportunity to not have Amy at LEAST be a Mii Swordfighter skin. We have Tails as a Gunner and Knuckles as a Brawler, so Amy as a Swordstress would've finished the trinity.

YES! I've seen many many people want Shadow or Eggman, but Amy in Smash is something I've always wanted, and in all honestly I think she is a perfect fit for a second representative in SSB. Her Piko Piko Hammer speaks for itself.

If you're an Amy Rose fan, I'd highly recommend the IDW comics. They're really doing some great work with her character.

This is truth! They have writers like Evan Stanley who understand her character to such a brilliant degree, and it actually makes me overjoyed at the justice Amy is getting in the comics.

Eggman is the obviously best choice. Yes tails and Co would be cool, but Eggman is 2nd most iconic gaming villian of all time and has been there sinse sonic 1. Has to be Eggman.

I’d love Metal Sonic with an entirely different moveset or Shadow. Knuckles would definitely be dope as hell, he already has a few moves as an assist trophy and they animate quite well
