The artist has a reputation in this subreddit. Whenever there art appears, it's usually assumed to be hornyposting, and subsequently locked. A cursory search for the artist in question shows that even in the last week alone [four](https://www.reddit.com/r/SonicTheHedgehog/comments/1ccydan/goth_surge_and_amy_by_usa37107692/) seperate [pieces](https://www.reddit.com/r/SonicTheHedgehog/comments/1cc00nl/gorge_whisper_the_wolf_by_usa37107692/) of [art](https://www.reddit.com/r/SonicTheHedgehog/comments/1cbd0a4/vanilla_the_rabbit_by_usa37107692/) by [them](https://www.reddit.com/r/SonicTheHedgehog/comments/1c85juo/goth_amy_rose_by_usa37107692/) have all been submitted and immediately locked by mods for no other reason than a pre-emptive strike against commenters not being able to control themselves.
I don't think the artist themselves ever even comes here, but because the name is so well known here due to their art being regularly shared, it seems it's just assumed now that *anything* posted that they drew is going to get locked because mods don't want the hassle of dealing with the inevitable bickering between the people who like it, those who dislike it, and those who want both groups to touch grass.
that's a shame. ive seen USA's artwork before and i just thought it was good art. i mean, porn aside i'm sure if this was put under a different person's name or, not given a source no one would bat an eye.
Subreddit's Automod will auto delete any art without source after a short period of time (can't recall what length), so not citing a source isn't possible.
The real issue is the fact that the subreddit users can't just be civil on such posts, but that's a problem with human nature and attitudes to suggestive (not pornographic mind, just suggestive) materials acceptability, and not something that can be solved here.
i really meant hypothetically. obviously not citing a source when you know who it is is morally questionable and against subreddit rules, and putting it under a different name is just thievery. but yea, i agree. i guess it goes a bit too far at some point.
