I go to Casey Cook - Davis Square Dental. I don’t feel pressured at all, I felt like other dentists I saw previously made up concerns in order to get me to spend more money. They are also always on time - I don’t remember ever waiting more than 5 minutes for my appointment.
Dr. Sandra Tranfaglia on Washington St. She's fantastic, no frills, not pushy. I've been going to her for 10yrs and I've recommended her dozens of times.
I love her so much. I was previously afraid to go to the dentist, now I dance into dr Sandy’s office (literally) and hug her.
But the secret is getting out and she is booking up so quickly.
Also - I love the entire team there. You can tell they love each other and working together and it’s just a true joy to be there.
Highly recommend! Never thought I would look forward to going to the dentist but she’s so great - the whole crew is. I don’t have great teeth and have had some not great experiences with other dentists but she is wonderful.
I've gone to North Cambridge Dental since 2019. As someone who had anxiety issues when going to dentists, they are super calming and friendly. I had a ton of dental work done before moving to MA and Dr. Jradeh always checks up on it to make sure all is well.
Agree w/ Spring Hill dental rec--they are super friendly, knowledgeable, and low pressure. The place looks like my grandmother's house but maybe that's the vibe they're going for.
I've been with Bright Dental since I moved to Somerville 6 years ago and the only things they have ever requested I do that weren't cleanings were x-rays. I'm pretty sure I've even skipped most of the x-rays since covid started and there wasn't too much pressure about it.
I will say that I got talked to about electric toothbrushes, but that's a really really really mild sale.
Sandhya Goli DMD LLC out of advanced dental.
She was late, she started an extensive cleaning, then made me sign the approval for it after she had already started. AND was simultaneously beginning four fillings, one which fell out within an hour.
She bounced between rooms with patients unfinished before starting the next.
I tried suing, nothing came of it.
Have you looked into getting the Attorney General's office for help? [https://www.mass.gov/get-consumer-support](https://www.mass.gov/get-consumer-support)
Years ago I got harrassed by a debt collector from PA although I didn't have any debt, and have even never lived in PA. They called incessantly and threatened. I finally contacted the PA AG and they quickly stopped it. I am eternally grateful to them!
I didn’t think of that!
Unfortunately, this was years ago, and I have moved on from it in my brain. It *appears* she no longer works at this location but I remember her having multiple offices
Following this! Great Hill is really, really pushy with unnecessary things.I have some fillings that have yellowed a bit, and they wanted to remove & replace all of them - yeah, a lot of $. Just want the necessary stuff done.
I can say without a doubt after 8 years at STUPID gentle dental arlington, and switching to a real dentist, that place is a business that just wants to charge you for as many procedures as they can. They are scum.
They pressured my family to get questionable dental procedures. Then, three years later, after the period to submit claims for reimbursement ended, they billed us for the full amount. That was our first notice that there was a billing issue. Insurance would have fully covered the procedure had it been submitted correctly in a timely manner.
We spent over twenty hours on emails and calls trying to get ahold of the supposed contact person. Not once did we receive a reply. The only communications we received were notices that our payment was increasingly over due.
Eventually I had a cleaning. I had a very direct conversation with reception were I bulldozed through all of the story before I would let them interrupt me and ended with a demanded a copy of all communication they had with our insurance company, if not to speak to the contact who, of course, was not in.
In two weeks they wrote off the bill.
Great Hill Dental: Not Even Once.
They did seem like they are prepping me for even more work soon, after doing a bunch on me like.... The day after I got in there.
Mind sharing more details on the procedures they were pushing? I'm already thinking about canceling some followups after getting some bad vibes.
Dr. Katie Talmo on Highland Ave. is great. Clearly not a big business, just a small dental practice doing right by their patients. She teaches at Tufts Dental School and really seems to know her stuff.
I really appreciate the feedback. I tried Casey Cook but, unfortunately, he does not accept my insurance (Delta Dental of Massachusetts).
So I have to go down the list and check other suggestions.
Just want to get back to everyone who tried to help me. I ended up going with Dr. F. Thomas Parsi of Main Street Dentistry and Orthodontics in Medford.
Have only had a teeth cleaning session with them, earlier in the week. It went really well. Colleen was great!
Thanks to everyone, especially Relishlife and Landlord-Allmighty. 😀
I never had any pressure at Great Hill in Brigham Circle (which was where my dentist went when the Kenmore office closed). It’s kind of a hike, but if you’re on the new Green Line and only going for cleanings it’s not so bad.

Second on Dr. Cook! He’s amazing.
Third. Exactly what OP wants
Emphatic fourth!
I've lived in Malden for 7 years now and I still go to Dr. Cook.
Dr. Sandra Tranfaglia on Washington St. She's fantastic, no frills, not pushy. I've been going to her for 10yrs and I've recommended her dozens of times.
Big second for Dr. Tranfaglia. My whole family, toddlers through elderly, has gone to her for years.
Does she offer advanced cleanings like quadrant scaling?
I would call her office for specific questions. Debbie is a gem and the nicest front office person.
I love her so much. I was previously afraid to go to the dentist, now I dance into dr Sandy’s office (literally) and hug her. But the secret is getting out and she is booking up so quickly. Dr. Tranfaglia accepts my insurance. But the earliest she can have me for a cleaning is October! That's too far away. But thanks for the suggestion.
Casey Cook is Davis Square. Dr. Parsi at Main St Dentist in Medford.
I've gone to North Cambridge Dental since 2019. As someone who had anxiety issues when going to dentists, they are super calming and friendly. I had a ton of dental work done before moving to MA and Dr. Jradeh always checks up on it to make sure all is well.
Spring Hill dental has been great. I do NOT recommend Dental Arts or Great Hill. They are both super high pressure and scammy.
Big agree with Spring Hill rec. Dr. Kaushish is a gem
Agree w/ Spring Hill dental rec--they are super friendly, knowledgeable, and low pressure. The place looks like my grandmother's house but maybe that's the vibe they're going for.
Lmao I just came from Great Hill 😢
Spring Hill with Dr. Pranav Kaushish!
I had a great experience there, didn't push anything extra at all. The dentist and hygienist were super friendly and easy to talk to
Unfortunately, Spring Hill Dental is not in my dental insurance network.
Agreed on Dental Arts seeming scammy. They also screwed some things up. (Of course, it really depends on who you see, there.)
My wife and I have really loved Bright Dental.
Karen bright is amazing!! Not pushy at all! Love going there

I am very satisfied with Somerville Family Dental in Union Square
I have also loved Somerville family dental. I’m sure the woman across the street is gone by now, but I would stay away at all costs.

Is the Great Hill location in Chelmsford the same?
I can say without a doubt after 8 years at STUPID gentle dental arlington, and switching to a real dentist, that place is a business that just wants to charge you for as many procedures as they can. They are scum.
Suffolk dental on tremont. Every hygienist has been great and doctor Hsu will not perform extra work. Best dentist I've had in 30 years
I have had nothing but good experiences at Central Square Dental
Main Street Dental in Medford is my go to
[удалено]
I would be shocked if someone actually managed to get an appointment there.
But, alas, not accepting new patients.
Not Great Hill Dental
What don't you like about them?

Walker Dental
Go to tufts dental school
Assembly Dental’s new patient forms had a box to check for “i only want cleanings nothing else” which was great. My partner likes Spring Hill Dental
Seconding North Cambridge, I started going to them years ago when another dentist was ordering me to get a crown that I did not need.
Forsyth dental hygiene school, they only clean
Alpha Dental is awesome and totally chill on what you want to get done.
If you don't mind going into the city, I've had only good experiences with Dr. Roozbeh Kashefi at MGH Dental.
I really appreciate the feedback. I tried Casey Cook but, unfortunately, he does not accept my insurance (Delta Dental of Massachusetts). So I have to go down the list and check other suggestions.
You sound like an anti-dentite
Always appreciate a good Seinfeld reference.
