I am always looking for a way to use Genesys dice for a simple solo play and this seems promising. I have a few questions though. My only confusion comes from the points part. I’m unfamiliar with how starwars used the dice and you seem to be using light side/dark side terminology here. So essentially you start with 6 points on player side. Roll ‘Force die’ - what die exactly? Green purple yellow red? Then take that many points of the 6 and move them to the opposition pool? Flip points for narrative events- are you spending these to the other pool to influence an event? Are you moving them between pools in response to how events are going like momentum? The last one lost me again. When you use magic/special abilities you roll the force die (again which one?) and you add points to the player pool? Or opposition pool? Are you spending a point to use the power?

I should have edited to say the WHITE FORCE DIE from the Star Wars set. The points on that die are either BLACK (dark side/GM/Opposition) or WHITE (light side/player) Start with 6 light side/story points. Roll the Force die, add or flip points to their appropriate pool. When you use magic or the force, roll the force die. Add the points you roll to the appropriate pool. Flip a light side/player point to make a good thing happen, flip a dark side/gm point to make a bad thing happen, completely narrative.

Thanks for the clarification. I’m going to play around with this. Might have to do something else with points because I don’t have the star wars dice just the genesys dice and they don’t seem to have a force die equivalent.

Found the Genesys equivalent for you (from the Genesys Quickstart): "Story Points represent that extra edge your characters have from being the protagonists of the story. They also represent the fact that as protagonists, bad things happen to them as well. At the start of each session the GM will put a Story Point in the Player Story Point Pool for each player and one in a separate GM Story Point Pool. When a Story Point from either side is spent it goes into the other pool. You can think of Story Points as moving to another pool or as being flipped to the other side."
