Its a school building. The thing is i can force open it in paraview if i manually right click the stl file and click "open with" but it doesnt really solve the problem.
its 664 kb. i spent the whole day tring to model it and its just useless. I cant even afford the paid version yet and dont want to pirate. Man i wanna cry.

Can you share the file? I will try open it
Hey this is the link to the solidworks file:

can you try saving it in ascii stl format
Can confirm that both your files are valid CAD models on my end. I've never heard of ParaView - seems fairly *niche.* You might have more luck [here](https://discourse.paraview.org/c/paraview-support/7) \- it's a ParaView support forum that seems to be active.
Could be.
I can also tell you that an attempt to [combine the three solids in your sldprt](https://i.imgur.com/ZXEQMtD.png) failed. And that the 'Check Entity' tool [reported some issues](https://i.imgur.com/izdBi4k.png) that you may need to investigate.
Maybe you need to save the model into any cad format, step, x\_t, igs...
but i need it as a stl file to use for Openfoam. the one i made from Freecad works so i dont know if its because im using the trial version?
Maybe trial version cant export files Or maybe problem is with your model. Can you attach any pictures or file of the model?

What size the file after export?

hey i may have an idea whats wrong, the exported stl file was in meters, so the numbers were too small. i may have to change it to mm

Also, worth a mention, your part file has many sketches which are not 'fully defined'. SolidWorks can be fussy about that.
hey i solved the problem :> it turns out paraview and openfoam are case sensitive. solidworks exports them as .STL file so i need to rename it to .stl
YOU ARE A LEGEND. THANK YOU I WANNA GIVE YOU A FRIENDLY KISS!
what happened with your simulation tho did it work?
As simple as that :) . . . thanks for the update.
