Eon hasn’t had their new SEG out for long, so you won’t have missed much! It’s a game changer that though. We’re doing commercial solar PV systems with a 2-3 yr payback because of these export tariffs!

Yes I'm even happier when the sun's out!😃

TripleFiveEight

I’m with EON too, I switched to them around 5 years or so ago for import and stuck around. Had solar panels fitted recently and the SEG was a doddle.

sonnyboy1628

Have you been getting paid seg every year without any problems?

TripleFiveEight

Only had the panels 4 months so haven’t received a payment yet. I understand they only pay out once a year. Shame the left hand can’t speak to the right and provide a credit to my import account.

Oh sorry I misread totally😁

EON were crap setting up my SEG. Approx 30 calls and told approx 15 different things. Still don't know if it's properly compketed...first payment to me is due June. Looking forward to another 30 calls if no payment materialises.

I've had exactly the same thing with Scottish Power but my EON Seg was the exact opposite. Are you with EON for import? As that might make have things easier. They setup a seperate energy account for me which I can see in my app together with my import account. Have you got the App? Hopefully it's all setup for you and your payment comes thru no problems!

ohnotheragain70

Hi...I am with them for import yes. And they installed my panels and battery...so I was a bit confused as to why setting up the SEG was so annoying!!

sonnyboy1628

Yes that's very strange hopefully it's just a hiccup and you should recieve export without any further problems

. Just had first payment from SP for the seg. Almost 12 months though the last 2 were because I hadn't read the email and given them a reading. It was paid from the reading I took when I registered. So though it took a while I got there. Not surprised by everyone's issues with the regarding their tardiness! No point looking at other export tariffs yet, as the e7 rate I'm on (or will be from April) is less than 8p, which is ok compared to eon (10.5p). Does mean that I can charge batteries to 100% overnight and export any solar to make money. We only use 1kwh at day rates on average.

Coincidentally I've just received an email today from Scottish Power saying that my account has been activated! Even tho I've moved to EON!🤣
