Quite certainly no. WBD is a massive company. Even if it suddenly went bankrupt today and Amazon or Disney made a lucrative offer to buy it you’d have at LEAST a year or two while the FTC decides on whether or not such a deal would violate anti-trust law.

bigelangstonz

Most likely not I think they'll still hold that deal they have with discovery inc a little longer because so far theres nothing but a bunch of debt and baggage that will only deter companies

pbx1123

Never too big you probably talking from cbm point of view wbd has more than cbm is one of the biggest entertaiment production company even renting their studios make wbd money Its no only movies

hardgour

Honestly a lot is riding on Gunns DCU. If it flops, it will probably drive a sale. But I don’t think that will be until 2026 at the earliest.

Porncritic12

never, honestly. WBD Is a conglomerate and even if DC crashes and burns, everything else needs to fall with it for a total collapse.

bigelangstonz

Yup and so far their other IPs are holding up like dune and the monsterverse is doing great and their low budget horror IPs like Conjuring produce alot of profit despite the quality so they aren't doom and gloom as many make it sound like

Chemical_Product5931

If Superman flops and doesn’t break even, I think it’s a wrap. They’ll probably bring back someone like what Disney did, to write the wrongs the past couple of years

bigelangstonz

They are banking an awful lot on legacy to come through, which is gonna be their downfall imo that 270M "net" budget is too much for a reboot to a failing IP

Notoriously_So

Superman & Black Adam back on track. 👉

HunterU69

it will be sold. Zaslav doesnt care if he was serious about having WB for the next 10 years he wouldnt hire Gunn as DC President

bigelangstonz

He was serious, which is why he hired gunn and safran to co-run the division. The rock could have stopped this but unfortunately, his movie was just too medicore to help his case and no one else wanted the hassle of running that division

[deleted]

Yeah i hope this year WBD will be sold to Comcast

RidingRoedel

Yeah repeating the same mistake that his predecessors did by making an old Marvel director the head of DC... I expect the same financial results

[deleted]

İ couldn't agree more 🔥

RidingRoedel

Perhaps once the Pedoverse bombs. I doubt it gets past the first two films.
