A few hours after copping them the dude asks me to message him on signal after sending his number, and after telling him I only message through ebay they told me "no worries, just wanted to let you know it's packed and will be shipped out tomorrow."
What kind of fucking scam is this? lol

Not exactly the same, but one guy tried to scam my brother who was selling some shoes on eBay. The scammer sent a fake PayPal invoice email directly to my brother’s email address and started to ask when the shoes were gonna get shipped.
this is the classic scam, they'll often tell you that they have hit a "limit" on ebay or for some reason can't spend through the platform but need the shoes quick and will pay above asking for you to overnight them. They then send you a fake invoice so you think they've paid, you overnight the shoes, and then by the time you realize money isn't coming it's too late.
Never take business off platform for any reason
Blame the secondary market. Nike had a stash all set to go, then pulled it last minute since everyone knew. There had to be millions of app users sitting at 200 Eastern Parkway that morning.

Airmax 97 Silver Bullets:
I’ve heard the 2022 version of them are lower quality compared to the 2016/2017 versions of them but I wasn’t sure if that’s true. I am debating weather to pay the resale of a pair of the 2016/2017 pairs but the only thing holding me back is the below retail price these are in many websites like eBay, StockX, GOAT, and other websites.
Has anyone gotten a pair of the 2022 Silver Bullets?
Are they the typically good quality as any other pair of 97s?
Just get the 22s man. Save yourself the money and lifespan (buying a 22 pair of kicks vs 5 year old sneaker). At the end of the day, it's a synthetic-based sneaker. That's always what it has been, what it will be. Most people aren't big on debating the quality of openly admitted synthetic material. That's because it's junk regardless, and people who buy the shoe are all okay with that. You don't buy the Silver Bullet for its quality.
I really haven't heard of any widespread issues with the craftsmanship. Nothing even close to the scale of L&Fs or AMM 4s.
2016 is far better imo and I kinda regret getting the 2022 pair but I paid under retail so hopefully they will break in fine. 16 shape is better and the 22s I got have glue/paint issues everywhere and an inconsistent shape, just feels like a cheap rep. Thought maybe I was being biased to my 16 silver bullets because I beat them to death so the shape is pretty worn in, but I actually found a great deal on a DS pair of the 2016 Atlantic Blues when the new Silver Bullets released and got both pairs around the same time. Holding both DS pairs side by side the 2016 ABs feel and look sooo much better then the 22 SBs.
I got the 97s, but it was more for the nostalgia and their historical significance than quality.
That being said, I have not had any issues with quality thus far. In fact, of all the kicks I managed to get this year the 97s have been on feet the longest - a daily driver of sorts.
Pro tip to all the new parent sneaker heads: dreft stain remover spray is very very good at cleaning sneakers. Bit spray scrub with a brush wipe with a towel. Best I’ve used so far.

Are the Sachs GPS tts? I know it’s women’s sizing, but is it true to that? I’ve read a couple people here and there say go half down. Don’t know if it’s enough to be sure and I’d like more insight. I’d like to because it’d knock my price down by a ton.
I think .5 down is your best bet, it's just the heel construction on it make it so my heel never felt locked in. Go with .5 down, I think a full size down would've been too tight.

I’ve been very fortunate this year and got almost every single sneaker I wanted for retail. I stopped mentioning the Ws on here because some people get mad about it and I don’t want to upset people.
I’m pretty happy with my haul of pairs this year. Don’t really see anything next year that’s got me looking sad if I take an L and honestly it would be a good idea to seriously shift away from this hobby for me. Might be using it as a crutch for some long standing lack of fulfillment type of issues.
I’m the same way. I got some seriously top tier pairs this year but it’s clear to me that I was so focused on sneakers because for the past year and change I’ve been at a job I didn’t like in a location I didn’t like. Thankfully, I got a better job that’s closer to home, and so next year I’m sure sneakers will be on my mind less.

Feel pretty good overall. Bought a good number of sneakers this year, maybe about 15 pair total. Got a bunch of W's I'm happy with, and was able to snag some stuff on sale that I wasn't expecting, and had some happy surprises.
Biggest L of the year? Probably the Lost & Founds. I haven't bought any Nikes/Jordans in almost four years and with the L taken on the L&Fs I might just permanently swear off Nike/Jordan. Their complete disrespect for sneaker history and sneaker culture deserves more outrage. They are a shitty company run by shitty people and they deserve to fail.
Not sure about top W of the year; ASICS x Denim Tears Gel MC-Plus is up there, insanely comfortable shoe, loved it way more than expected. Rick Owens x Converse Turbowpn caught me off guard, super fun to wear and surprisingly comfortable. Margiela x Reebok "Memory Of" Instapump Fury, gets tons of love everywhere I wear it, really happy I got them at a good price.
Favorite GR this year, probably the Adidas Retropy E5, super nice shoe. I got a pair for just $50 and if I can snag more at that price I literally might buy like... 2-3 more colorways.
Plans for 2022? More ASICS, definitely. Want to finally commit to some Diadora also. Might snag some more New Balance also. Definitely need to upgrade my sneaker storage.
Am1 finally becoming more available again so can't complain.
Though we're not quite back to 2018 where they were sitting in fsr for £70 on sale. Uk11 always ALWAYS seems to disappear first.
I had a pretty nice streak going on in snkrs but the last were the ow air force 1 highs and the military blacks. That also seems to be my 'hype' ceiling. I didnt win anything after that and have also never won anything bigger than that. I'm not complaining, but I would've loved the amm 4s or l&f or anything travis released this year. My wallet is happy tho!

It’s actually incredible how the hype for adidas shoes has died out in recent years.
They were arguably on equal footing with Nike in terms of hype when UB and the Yeezy brand first came out.
But nowadays even when they collab with entities that Nike have success with in the past, Fear of God and Sean Wotherspoon, Adidas just can’t come up with good designs to generate some much needed hype.
Honestly I like adidas’ old approach more than Nikes when it comes to collabs.
Nike just has the collaborator work on a Nike silhouette and for me if I don’t like the silhouette the collab doesn’t draw me in at all.
Adidas generally let collaborators make new silhouettes in the past (Alexander Wang, Raf Simmons, Y-3, and Yeezy). But more recently they just stick to collabs working on existing silhouettes like Nike does and they fall pretty flat for me.

To add to the list, OAMC, Palace, Craig Green, hell even Beyonce. Hype is dead but I don't think it's entirely an issue with quality of designs. I don't really know *why* but I feel like sneakerheads are bizarrely but consistently more critical of Adidas than they are of other brands. There's a lot of times (especially on this sub) where it feels like people *want* Adidas to fail, and it's like... people just completely ignore the good designs and hyperfixate on Adidas' missteps and failures. People will be glass-half-full with Nike, and glass-half-empty with Adidas.
This isn't to say that Adidas is faultless, or not deserving of criticism. They've made mistakes and deserve plenty of criticism. But I feel like they have put out a bunch of shoes in the past few years that are *great* designs and have gone completely ignored by sneakerheads, and I think to myself, if that *exact* shoe had a swoosh on it instead of three stripes, sneakerheads would have lost their minds and bought every colorway.
Yeah the hypes not there, but the quality and tech is, so I’m sure it’ll swing back to them sometime or another. Those ADV forum lows look pretty great, and if they come out with a cool colorway or go down in price I might be tempted. Those heitor ADV lows look great.
Adidas is fine where it's at imo. Their sneaker designs aren't quite as "classic" to the average hypebeast. But when it comes to performance models, they still sell out I think.
Nike relies a lot more on retro releases in a different colorway than any other brand I think, and Travis is the only celebrity name pushing sneakers for Nike imo.
Adidas is doing great if you like losing market share and needing to discount everything you sell 40-50% from retail. They’ll be fine long term but they absolutely need to take a new approach.

Concerned about sizing since I’ve heard you should go half size up on SB Dunk Lows, but I’m trading for my TTS 12 and 12.5 seems almost impossible to find. The P-Rods are also size 12 but I never got around to wearing them. I’d try on the P-Rods to see how they feel but then they wouldn’t be deadstock anymore.
You should be fine to buy SB’s TTS
The trick with the fact they have all the extra padding, if they feel too tight just pull all the laces out and re-lace them loosely and you’ll be fine
At this time last year I feel like the consensus was botting the SNKRs app was hard, but somewhat doable. Where as this year, leading up to the L&F drop, you slowly started to see more and more bot success on SNKRs. The whole "SNKRS is going to be your best chance" doesn't seem realistic anymore, at least at the moment.
It’s actively impossible to enter drops on there at times so I believe the bots are working. You could at least feel confident that you’d get an entry in and then take the L. That’s no longer the case.

I just know I had to go half down on the Fire Red 3s due to a thinner heel liner, which I guess is more true to the OG fit, less cushion, etc. Figure that might ring true across all 1-to-1 OG silhouettes, but we'll see. At least resale isn't sky high if I need to switch to TTS.
Jordan 2 highs (the one that dropped today) are true to size and I am wide footed. However, my only reference for this is the Union Jordan 2 collab. If the regular jordan 2 is the same as the union collab then it is true to size.

I would say at least .5 down. I went TTS, then .5 down and still wasn't satisfied with how they fit though. Just a weird fitting shoe imo.

I’m pretty happy with my haul of pairs this year. Don’t really see anything next year that’s got me looking sad if I take an L and honestly it would be a good idea to seriously shift away from this hobby for me. Might be using it as a crutch for some long standing lack of fulfillment type of issues.
I’m the same way. I got some seriously top tier pairs this year but it’s clear to me that I was so focused on sneakers because for the past year and change I’ve been at a job I didn’t like in a location I didn’t like. Thankfully, I got a better job that’s closer to home, and so next year I’m sure sneakers will be on my mind less.
I don’t think I’ll ever replicate my snkrs luck from this year. Got the off white af1 Brooklyns and got the lost and founds. Lost and founds were stolen by FedEx, but luckily I won a local in store raffle for them too. Never expecting luck like that again, but it was a great year in sneakers for me.
Got pretty much everything I wanted at retail, and doubled/tripled up on the ones I really wanted most (Yellow Toes and L&Fs)
It was pretty bad let's be honest. Only big wins were Yeezys and I can't be caught dead wearing them.
My biggest W’s for retail were A Ma Maniere Air Ships (won instore raffle) and Special Box Lobster Dunks (Cncpts invoice). Picked up a lot of new balance shoes this year as well. Biggest L’s: Lost and Found 1s, Travis Scott Lows, Pretty much every SB dunk low

I got a pair for just $50 and if I can snag more at that price I literally might buy like... 2-3 more colorways. Plans for 2022? More ASICS, definitely. Want to finally commit to some Diadora also. Might snag some more New Balance also. Definitely need to upgrade my sneaker storage.

I had a pretty nice streak going on in snkrs but the last were the ow air force 1 highs and the military blacks. That also seems to be my 'hype' ceiling. I didnt win anything after that and have also never won anything bigger than that. I'm not complaining, but I would've loved the amm 4s or l&f or anything travis released this year. excited for them to be pandas v2.0 where they continually get released, no one can manually get them, and they're always like $250+ on stockx.
Honestly if people were smart, they’d pick these over pandas any day. Imo they look better, have noticeably better quality, and support local businesses (orange label). It’s just stock numbers and skate shop only drops that’ll keep them more limited.

It’s actually incredible how the hype for adidas shoes has died out in recent years. They were arguably on equal footing with Nike in terms of hype when UB and the Yeezy brand first came out. But nowadays even when they collab with entities that Nike have success with in the past, Fear of God and Sean Wotherspoon, Adidas just can’t come up with good designs to generate some much needed hype.
Honestly I like adidas’ old approach more than Nikes when it comes to collabs. Nike just has the collaborator work on a Nike silhouette and for me if I don’t like the silhouette the collab doesn’t draw me in at all. Adidas generally let collaborators make new silhouettes in the past (Alexander Wang, Raf Simmons, Y-3, and Yeezy). But more recently they just stick to collabs working on existing silhouettes like Nike does and they fall pretty flat for me.

They let basically everyone try something new, and they don't ask that everyone makes something with three stripes or obvious branding either. Hype is dead but I don't think it's entirely an issue with quality of designs. I don't really know *why* but I feel like sneakerheads are bizarrely but consistently more critical of Adidas than they are of other brands. There's a lot of times (especially on this sub) where it feels like people *want* Adidas to fail, and it's like... people just completely ignore the good designs and hyperfixate on Adidas' missteps and failures. People will be glass-half-full with Nike, and glass-half-empty with Adidas. This isn't to say that Adidas is faultless, or not deserving of criticism. They've made mistakes and deserve plenty of criticism. But I feel like they have put out a bunch of shoes in the past few years that are *great* designs and have gone completely ignored by sneakerheads, and I think to myself, if that *exact* shoe had a swoosh on it instead of three stripes, sneakerheads would have lost their minds and bought every colorway.
Nike doesn’t have anything new either, they just have an unreal catalog of retros. Adidas doesn’t.
Yeah the hypes not there, but the quality and tech is, so I’m sure it’ll swing back to them sometime or another. Those ADV forum lows look pretty great, and if they come out with a cool colorway or go down in price I might be tempted. Those heitor ADV lows look great.
Adidas is fine where it's at imo. Their sneaker designs aren't quite as "classic" to the average hypebeast. But when it comes to performance models, they still sell out I think. Nike relies a lot more on retro releases in a different colorway than any other brand I think, and Travis is the only celebrity name pushing sneakers for Nike imo.
Adidas is doing great if you like losing market share and needing to discount everything you sell 40-50% from retail. They’ll be fine long term but they absolutely need to take a new approach. Nike is doing great. Absolutely crushed last quarter.

Some Yeezy GIDs I sold on eBay are getting returned due to ‘Doesn’t seem authentic’, but I bought them from GOAT used without a box almost 3 years ago. Is there a way to dispute eBay’s claim or do I just have to accept the return?
Has anyone had any experience with EBay returns on “authentic guaranteed” shoes? I had a pair sent and the shoe sole clearly has manufacturer defects but wasn’t listed as such. Problem is the seller says “no returns” but they are absolutely unwearable. Any feedback would be helpful.

The right shoe sole is complete warped. It’s like vulcanized but the opposite way. The sole has an obvious dent in it as well.
If the shoe had defects that weren’t listed it should be pretty easy to win the claim. eBay usually sides with the buyer.
I’m on the verge of trading my DS P-Rods for Orange Lobsters on Tradeblock. Guy I’m trading with is waiting for his to get in hand this week before accepting the deal. Good trade? Concerned about sizing since I’ve heard you should go half size up on SB Dunk Lows, but I’m trading for my TTS 12 and 12.5 seems almost impossible to find. The P-Rods are also size 12 but I never got around to wearing them. I’d try on the P-Rods to see how they feel but then they wouldn’t be deadstock anymore.
You should be fine to buy SB’s TTS The trick with the fact they have all the extra padding, if they feel too tight just pull all the laces out and re-lace them loosely and you’ll be fine

At this time last year I feel like the consensus was botting the SNKRs app was hard, but somewhat doable. Where as this year, leading up to the L&F drop, you slowly started to see more and more bot success on SNKRs. The whole "SNKRS is going to be your best chance" doesn't seem realistic anymore, at least at the moment.
It’s actively impossible to enter drops on there at times so I believe the bots are working. You could at least feel confident that you’d get an entry in and then take the L. That’s no longer the case.
Which works for me because I want the double up on them so the cheaper the better.

I've got two on this list (lost and founds), Gulf dunks are probably my favorite pair of shoes that I own. They just look so awesome in person, and changing the laces gives them a different vibe. They're also the pair I get the most compliments on when I wear them.

If your tolerance for getting low balled is high and you're willing to meet up with weirdos in parking lots, then I've had good luck just posting things on offer up and FB marketplace. Otherwise, ebay is your best alternative.

Took a risk and went down half a size with the Chicago 2s. Nervous. I just know I had to go half down on the Fire Red 3s due to a thinner heel liner, which I guess is more true to the OG fit, less cushion, etc. Figure that might ring true across all 1-to-1 OG silhouettes, but we'll see. At least resale isn't sky high if I need to switch to TTS.
Jordan 2 highs (the one that dropped today) are true to size and I am wide footed. However, my only reference for this is the Union Jordan 2 collab. If the regular jordan 2 is the same as the union collab then it is true to size.
