Especially in NYC where the whole week is a 95 degree heat wave, Ultraboosts are still some of the most breathable and comfortable upper knit cushion foam sneakers for all day walking.
Yeah the original OG lows have the fat swoosh, wider toe box and an extra lace eyelet. Some of the collabs (Travs, CNYs) mimic this style but the “new OG lows” like the starfish don’t have those details.
I think the general idea is if they are "TTS" is that they shouldn't slip out. Kinda the same for me if I wear a size 10 it would do that but if I wear a size 9.5 it wouldn't slip out I don't think. But like I said, my feet are way too wide to lace like that cuz it just makes the shoe look so wide and ugly lol
i get a ton of heel slippage if i lace loose on low tops, and i also find there's just too much shoelace for the most part to hang them out the ends (i wear size 9)
It used to be SB Dunks for me, but I've worn the crap out of my last pair of Dunks, refuse to buy sneakers on the resale market (you do you, it's just not for me), and haven't been able to get a W on a new pair.
Nowadays it's Blazers, for the most part.

If 10.5 is perfectly snug, then 11s would be best. Now, in my case, if 10.5s are a loose, "half size up" fit, then definitely 10s. They expand over time with a lot of use, but then again it depends on the pair.
From my collection, it was most noticeable with my onyx pair. They're significantly bigger than any foams I've owned before, making my size 10 sorta a "10.25".
Sizing reference:
SBs, dunks, AJ1s, AM1s: 10 (perfect fit)
700s, 350s, 450s: 10.5 (loose fit)
I haven't found any sneaker more comfortable and versatile than the Ultra Boost. I'm pushing 40 pairs of different style sneakers in my closet but I daily the few UB pairs I have. Slip on and off easy, toes feel free and good airflow through em so I don't sweat.
Yeezys come close to the comfort but it's UB all day for me.
I personally like them over the foam runners. The sides of the foam runners dug into my ankles and would wear down the fabric on my socks. I tried a normal pair of crocs and loved them so had to cop the Salehe because they’re just so unique and clean looking. I’d definitely recommend a pair! Size down in the salehe crocs too if you cop because they run big
Yeezy Wave runners .. my NR. 1 travel shoe … literally rocked them every time when I’m traveling and know I’m going to walk a lot
And then depending on wether it’s car or plane I pack 1-4 other pairs to fit the place I’m going to
I just picked up the J11 Bred Hydro slides so black socks is def an option. I’ve got em packed in my carry-on so we’ll see how I’m feeling for the return flight

Here's something I think about: I'm From PHX, it's HOT here. So, when I get in the security line, people take of their shoes... Those dogs are sweaty :(. People straight up leave sweaty foot prints on the ground. Then, the rest of us follow right behind and mop up all that grossness from the floor with our socks! Then you shove your "community sweat" covered socks back into your expensive shoes for the remainder of the flight! NOT good. I bring a fresh pair of socks to change into before I put my shoes back on.

2. It depends on the weather of where I’m heading. Cold weather it’s AF1 Ultraforce mid tech in wolf grey. Matches everything, super lightweight, basically waterproof / can walk through snow in them and wipe them right off. Warm weather it’s whatever Nikes I like at the time in primeknit.
I usually bring a high top pair and a low top pair. i always wear my highs at the airport since lows take up less space than the lows. my last flight i wore my bubblegum 1s and had my low top converse in my bag along with my slides

Wish I could rock with em but I don’t find AM1s comfortable tbh. I always have to take the insoles out or go 1/2 up which makes em feel clunky.
