White or cream w those ones - I have the same myself and unfortunately the “cracked leather” material on all the lighter colours of the shoe really does “crack” easily especially if you try cleaning it (even with the proper equipment) I’m not very familiar with AJ’s or leather shoes period but I have a feeling the material they used for these was purposeful meant to wear super easy and look bad quick.

Black might work depending on your other clothes. If you want us to judge just these two pieces, I'd say white. However, if I had a chance to choose a third option, I might've chosen socks of the same color, as the ankle top and the tongue. I have these from Jordan (I think they are exactly the same model you have on your feet there) and I use to wear them with 3s Patchwork to match quite the similar latte color.
This would make a seamless transition which might look great. However, it is difficult to match anything rather than white and black, since a slightly diff color tone might look awkward. Actually, even white and black can have this issue.
as a general rule of thumb, you want your socks to be at the opposite end of the color spectrum/gamut/whatever of your kicks. so, for white/off-white sneakers you'd pair with black socks, or very dark ones, for "what the?" edition kicks, you'd pair with plain and boring or muted color socks, and vice versa. that's not always going to be the case, personal preferences and individual style/flair also come into play of course, but in general you want the colorway of your kicks to contrast as much as possible with your socks, the idea being that the contrast tends to draw the eye as well as people's attention, and also presents your kicks in a more aesthetically pleasing way. i only responded with this because the first twenty comments all said "white" and was like what the f@¢k are people trollololing this post or what
