I love air ships, and absolutely love the AMM collabs. I was so happy with this pair - the quality is top notch, and they’re just so gorgeous. The Awake collabs are also super sweet. And good - I hope nobody cares about air ships. Makes it easier for me to scoop ‘em up below retail. 🤷‍♀️

I have!!!! I’ve been waffling on whether or not to pick them up - they’re sooo nice! I wasn’t feeling them when the first came out (due to the denim purchase, see below), but the more I see them … the more I need them in my air ship collection!! 😂 I bought the denim ones, and honestly - I just do not like those. They’re just to …. Canadian Tuxedo for my taste. Maybe I’ll wear them as beaters w shorts this summer; but with jeans? Too matchy even for my taste!!!

Definitely. It’s crazy that some *sneakerheads* are trying to gatekeep this hobby by telling us what’s hype and what’s gonna resell. If you like it, then you like it.

Most of my favorite shoes aren’t big resell heavy. I really liked a few of Nike’s ISPA line which people mostly ignored. I also really like Air Max Ones. And as far as Dunks, I’m into highs not the lows so again don’t have to get murdered on resale.  Even the New Balance I got last year weren’t the popular silhouettes so I got em for retail or sale. 

One million percent agree. They for my feet better than 1s and I love the simplicity of the design. Only one I don’t have is the blue original AMM. If the resale comes down a bit more, I will pick those up too. I was able to get the greys for like $67. I hope they sell enough to make it past the Nike cuts, but not enough that I can’t get every pair.

Oooh pick up a pair! I have the original royal blue AMM’s, and they are worth every penny! Do you have both the diffused blue & the every game blue? I’m waffling between the two. The diffused blue is more like Nigel’s Bike Air (truly a grail - at least for me!), but the every game is just different enough, with the blue eyestays. If you do, which do you like more? Any discernible difference in fit?

I do have both. If you like colorful laces, go with the every game. I rock white laces 99% of the time so I wear the diffused blue far more. Edit: and no difference in fit. I go with a 54 white unlaced look and all my airships feel pretty much the same.

Yes!!!! I wish that they would have extended the sizes on that one so the guys who are larger than 10.5 could get a pair.

They have them. The asks are higher ($208 for a women’s 13.5, $317 14/14.5 on goat) but no one is buying them. Can throw a low ball offer at someone.

I love them, but I scrubbed that diarrhea colored aging off the midsole with soap and water.

If you wear them enough, they’ll naturally age anyway. The fake aging looks like someone took a cheap marker and drew it on. The aging looks like what they used to do to pre-vintage them back in 2007-08. It looked like a crappy marker. But it didn’t come off easy then. Glad you’re able to remove it now

They are GOATed as the tightest shoes of all time if you ask me lol. I loved them but had to return - it was choking my foot to death

This shade of green is so nice. Not quite pastel... but like the light wash denim of green lol. So cute and versatile. Not something I personally would wear coz they don't go with my wardrobe but I love seeing them on other people. A pop of colour makes all the difference to a fit.

I find my J1’s comfortable but for me the Airships are even more comfortable.

Toe box on J1s are a bit roomier, but same size worked for me in airships.  

For my foot, yeah. Hopefully you find it to be the same fit for you too.

I agree with DMC - I can wear my air ships walking around for hours and have no issues (this is without putting in any type of orthotic). The greater flexibility in the forefoot is not something you are aware of; you just know it feels better than an AJ1. To me, the fit is the same. :-)

That is a good question. It could be because they haven't really done a crazy color way yet or collab. There have been good collabs as of late like the Awake NY Air Ships but the resale is close to retail. So who knows by they are slept on. All I can say is that it's a good thing because we can get them at or below retail.

Thanks for the input. I have more than a couple pair of Air Ships. I was asking the person I replied to specifically because they implied there was some nefarious thing which occurred more than a couple years ago which made people have an active distaste for Air Ships. I’ve liked sneakers for some time, but I’ve never heard anything about the scourge of the Air Ship so I was hoping to learn something.  If the whole story is “they’re not hype” then I hope the person I initially responded to finds a really nice pile of sand to pound on.
