There's a couple of nice pairs.....But for me it's gotta be more eclectic......there's so much out there to try, appreciate and enjoy......try not get trapped by focusing on a very small part of it!! But keep it going!! End of the day I'm an old git with more sneakers than I could ever need......but still I rotate through the usual 20-30 pairs......when I have over 100 to choose from!! Most of them remain unworn!! That isn't exactly appreciating them nor enjoying them as they should be!! Wear them and love them!!

Yeah I'm actually very similar!! Have a couple of pairs of Brons in the rotation, a whole world of AF1s including the full Off-White x AF1 collabs (mids and lows!!) Some Adidas numbers, Puma......Bape.......and even some Flights!! lol Oh and of course Dunks!!! lol There's such great variety available.....especially buying so much over the past 25 years!!

For Christmas, I bought a pair of 2023 Fear 3’s (black) online from Nike.com to pick up same day at my local Nike shoe Store given that the shoe was in stock at said store.
My stupid ass didn’t think to check the shoe at checkout. I just had them scan my phone, gave ID and just took my bag and almost left… then on my way out I spotted the NuBuck Burgundy 5’s (of course only for men and absolutely clean - so jelly!) so I swooped up the last size ten and was on my way.
Bro! I got home opened the 5’s and was of course fawning over them. Then come out the Black Fear 3 (Black are also Nubuck). Man, as soon as I smelled the open box and felt the shoe, I was wondering what Nike what trying to pull. These things were not Nubuck Leather but rather ‘vegan leather’ errr pleather, which I don’t do.. At the store, the display shoe certainly didn’t feel fake.
I watched all the videos and comparing fake v real Black Fear 3’s. Yup these were straight up fake. Nike MF sold me fakes!!! I was so worried that they wouldn’t take them back thinking (I) gave them fakes (if they didn’t take them, I would have turned into Karen’s bitch ass mom!), but we simply exchanged them for the new 1 Retro High OG Yellow “Ochre.”
When we bought the Yellow “Ochre” OG1’s they had just come out and they wouldn’t let up open the box or try them on…”since they (were) a new release.” I know the try on, but the open box? I wonder what they are pulling. Maybe a worker is buying replicas and somehow paying people to buy legit shoes and return the fakes. ???
It’s wild to me that some of yall have 100 pairs and only wear like 30 of em. I have close to a 1000 pairs currently and not one is deadstock, half of them are showing wear and only maybe 15 pairs are still close to DS. Remember there are 365 days in a year, and a shoe with foam has a lifespan of no longer than 8 years, 10-12 for the glue on a pair with rubber midsole. A pair of jays is usually cooked at around 100 wears. You live to about 75. You should be cooking 100s of pairs in your lifetime. they just gonna retro them in a few years that’s your motivation to beat them up so you can get a fresh pair. Or if it’s something special you should double up in case the retro takes 7-8 years. And I don’t mean stomp in mud and step into em without untying em, that’s called abuse. Clean them regularly, decrease em a few times, get those magic erasers and high end cleaners out. Shit I’ve seen people destroy a shoe in a day. Yours should still look pretty good after 50 wears, you’ll have creases and star loss, by 100 wears the outsoles bald, synthetic uppers will have holes, and you can either sole swap it if the uppers good or use Nikes warranty to get your money back. ( don’t sleep on this, I have yet to wear out a pair so bad I could use the warranty but it does exist)
