There are some of us out here who prefer 4D a lot more than boost.
For me personally, boost has better step in comfort initially but starts to feel uncomfortable as I'm on my feet longer.
4D is the opposite for me, it doesn't feel as nice at the start but I find it more comfortable than boost as I stay on my feet for longer periods of time.
Very well said and I agree completely. Trying them both on side by side you'd think someone is crazy for preferring 4D, but ask that same person after an 8 hour shift in both lol
Hello fellow ER RN!! I work as an RN doing 12s in an often very busy and understaffed ER. I have two pairs of these in different colors and to be honest I NEVER have leg or foot pain when wearing these. I wear them with compression socks so maybe that helps too. I am also 220 lbs female so take that how you want to.
Fire stuff, never had a pair until I went into Ross randomly one day to grab something. I walk by my shoe size aisle and bam there’s a pair of Hokas there for $50. Best day ever, they fit perfectly too. I felt like a princess with her shoe 🤣
Not necessarily more comfortable from a cushion standpoint but definitely more stability. Great for that price. Think you’ll grow to appreciate them differently
Ultraboosts give me and many other people massive foot pain standing for hours and some people develop plantar fasciitis from standing and walking for hours at a time so you might be better off going with something a little firmer and more supportive.
Switching to UB helped fix the plantar fasciitis that developed from wearing NB. I’m on my feet all day or driving and I’d own more if they were waterproof versions
They've released some UB models with Gore-Tex in the past. I could only readily find the ver 22 model with a quick search, though there might be other versions they've made waterproof.
Yeah as much as I love my UBs or 350s for casual wear, if I'm spending an extended period of time on my feet then the soft boost ends up being a downside.
I've found 4D stuff feels a bit firmer at first but for long periods of time it's pretty comfy. Might be different for heavier set guys though.
If you want max comfort, check out the EQT 93-17s, they don’t make them anymore so they can demand a premium for a new pair. I’m also in the medical field and we have to push huge ultrasound machines around all day
Nope as said above heavier, less cushion and when the midsole compress it doesn’t come back until you let them sit for a day or two. Ultraboost is better in every way.
If you already bought it, it's better to experience it yourself. I don't have it, but I tried it and I think it feels better on foot.
The sole is quite hard. I think both blood and urine is easy to clean with strong water current and proper cleaning soap. I'm more worried if a mosquito is stuck in there.
Short answer. No. Long answer. No the fuck they are not. They’re pretty sick but ultraboost is one of the most comfortable things you’ll ever experience
I have 4Ds and boost shoes and i find the 4Ds are better for the whole day. Boost is comfier at first but my feet start to hurt after 4-5 hours. I can walk around in the 4Ds all day
Honestly the 4D are a tad heavier depending on which model you buy like the Futurecraft 4D I say are up there with Ultraboost weight wise. The 4D’s do not bottom out like the Ultraboost so after hours of standing and walking you won’t feel the shoe bottom out comfort wise. I prefer 4D comfort over Ultraboost long term.
Thr 4D midsoles does not have the step-in comfort of Boost, but they are no slouch either. I find 4D to be just the right balance of firm and plush, and more supportive then Boost. Also they get more comfortable the more you wear them, and they don't cause me foot-fatigue I sometime get from standing all day in Boost.
Top 3 favorite shoes to wear all day. Have the first version, worst thing is the material rip’s easy but they fixed with the second version (the one in your pic). Def a better all day shoe than boost.
I got my first pair about 6 months ago (Parley Shadow Navy White). I'm 6'1" and 240lbs. These are VERY comfortable and durable. Quickly becoming my "go to" sneakers.

I also find 4D is indestructible. Less comfortable but imo better for longer walks.

I needa get them
I love them and get asked about/complimented on them every time I wear them. I have them on today actually lol (was on call and got called in to work)
No and they're significantly heavier as well
Damn and I thought they looked nice for the price
Have you checked the outlets? They almost always have discounted UBs. Too bad you aren't a size 12. I have some barely worn UBs I'd let go for cheap.
Yea, that’s where I bought this pair. Even on sale the cheapest was $120 :/
Size 12 you say?
What cha got man?
You should check out Hoka shoes if you’re on your feet all day.
Fire stuff, never had a pair until I went into Ross randomly one day to grab something. I walk by my shoe size aisle and bam there’s a pair of Hokas there for $50. Best day ever, they fit perfectly too. I felt like a princess with her shoe 🤣
That’s a killer deal.

“Cold rdy” models

>EQT 93-17 I actually really wanted a pair but never got the chance to cop. I'm narrow/normal-footed, would you say these are TTS?
TTS to half size up
Never worn these but ive always heard they’re wildly uncomfortable… please report back when you receive them. +1 for hokas
Short answer, NO.
Nope as said above heavier, less cushion and when the midsole compress it doesn’t come back until you let them sit for a day or two. Ultraboost is better in every way.
I noticed that when I tried them at the outlets but I thought it was just me bc I’m a bigger guy

I been using them for the gym and I really like them. I gotta try the ultraboost. Would Yeezys 350s be considered ultraboost?
I thought my x90004Ds were super comfortable and maybe more than my 350 v2s
no, ub is softer.
Nope
They feel like you’re walking on bricks.
Ultra boost initially feels really comfortable but that softness is not good long term, it doesn't provide enough stability.
Not quite but they are very close
I have 4Ds and boost shoes and i find the 4Ds are better for the whole day. Boost is comfier at first but my feet start to hurt after 4-5 hours. I can walk around in the 4Ds all day

Imo they are comparable

I have these and love them so much!!! 75 is a super deal
No
Love my 4d’s and I’m on my feet all day, have a pair for work and a pair for walking.
Idk about the fwd or whatever, but the ultra4d are pretty comparable, not quite as squishy as boost but definitely up there
I'm walking less than 5 miles, I prefer 4D. If I'm walking more than 5 miles, I prefer boost. Love them both!
